Often players on the Forum wonder about what’s going on in Beta.

If you’re a regular reader of the Forum, then you’ll find that there’s actually abundant conversation about what’s going on in Beta at any given time.

And that’s actually allowed!

What’s restricted is images and videos — but discussion is ok:

The challenge is that information is often scattered around the Forum. I’ve created The Beta Beat to help centralize it for those who are 0interested.

The Beta Beat is a series of threads which are evolving as I get feedback on what’s helpful to players.

My main focus is giving some high-level guidance of what’s going on in current testing, so players outside of Beta can be better informed.

Like Beta itself, this thread is experimental and will evolve based on your feedback.

Information from Beta is frankly often mostly useless, so don’t get too attached.

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes and features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release.

That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of hero skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to hero stats to be made, or for large chunks of new functionality to be completely changed.

Often Incomplete Information Circulates

Many of us have seen screenshots and other information shared on LINE, Discord, Facebook, and other groups — often without context or explanation.

These can lead to confusion and misunderstanding.

Often, early Beta information — the least reliable or useful — is circulated…and then updated information is missed.

I’m hoping centralizing some high-level information on the Forum may help to reduce this as well.

Now that the Dragonspire stuff is going to be out, I guess they could do quite a lot else for V71.

They need patches at this point, for under-the-hood stuff like scheduling. The heros and whatnot are secondary to that. They wont be able to patch problems with dragons until they see what damage we can do.

The second beta is here.

  • 1 New Garrison Guard hero
  • 3 New Plains Hunter heroes
  • 3 New Slime heroes
  • 3 New Alliance War modes:
    • Bloody War: Healing, revival, and similar effects have no effect
    • Clover Field: When casting any Special Skill, there is a chance the Hero will get “Lucky!” and cast twice
    • Ancient Terror: when activated, inflicts Insanity on all Heroes

Some other improvement:

  • War:

    • Tiebreaker is now available in war battles! After a certain number of turns, heroes receive a damage bonus. The bonus is increased by 10% per turn.

  • Summon view improvement:

    • More info now available in the summon preview.
    • View key hero attributes without needing to open the hero card
    • Includes now: hero stats, special info, family info, class info and passives all by tapping the icons

  • Auto-select improvement:

    • The auto-select feature for hero leveling can now be toggled to automatically choose 1* and 2* heroes of either the matching element (the existing behavior) or 1* and 2* heroes of all elements (new option). This choice persists until it is changed.

The second Beta is here.

Some adjustments to Woodland Faun heroes.

  • This sentence is adjusted to even released heroes:
  • Example: Saskia
    • OLD: “This effect lasts until the ally succesfully dodges 1 time.”
    • NEW: “This effect cannot be reallocated, and it lasts until the ally succesfully dodges 1 time.”.
    • So these Enchanced Efffects are no longer reallocable.

New Raid related event: Raid Brawl.

when I had Peregrine activated with Enhanced dodge, C. Diao Chan would steal the enhanced dodge for herself. Think this change makes so the ability is more useful now, as it can’t be stolen! finally I can put him on Def!

So it will be a buff for the woodland faun family
But when Peregrine uses his special skill for the 2nd time, does he get the 70% attack bonus?

Does it mean, cannot be stolen and/or be dispelled ?

can be dispelled as normal, but cannot be reallocated
and is mentioned that can’t be even copied

Beta Schedule Update

Staff has just announced that they will add an extra Beta Build.
So we will NOT have the Final Beta this week, but it will arrive only next week after current week’s build.
Here is the schedule for the remaining Beta builds for V71:

Oh so v71 is actually expected to be released from the 14th then and forced on the 21st. Gotta wait longer to get to update the last part of the month in my predictions.
