This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on Round 3 of the new Secret Heroes.
Don’t get too attached
Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.
It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.
So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.
Secret and Shadow Heroes
*There are a total of three (3) new heroes added to Beta for testing; these have been indicated to be for the Secret Summon and a later other summon…

Legendary: Secret Hero IX, X, XI
Family Bonus
Cultist family:
Heroes become stronger when teamed with other unique Heroes of the same family.
Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:
- +20% / +30% / +40% defense.
- +20% / +30% / +40% health.
Investigator family:
Heroes become stronger when teamed with other unique Heroes of the same family.
Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:
- +20% / +30% / +40% attack
- +20% / +30% / +40% health.
Insanity Status Effect
- Status effect: Insanity
- Insanity has a percentage chance of reversing the targeting of a Special Skill cast.
- When Insanity activates,
- Special Skills that target enemies instead will target allies, anc vice versa.
- Special Skills aimed at caster will be case on a random target.
- Special Skills aimed at a target wil be case on the caster.
- Insanity cannot be dispelled or cleansed,
- Hero’s Insanity can be lowered by 10 each time they are healed directly by Special Skills, Items or Tiles.Direct heals from Special Skills lower Instanity only once per cast.
- Healing provided by Status Effects, Passive Skills, Minions and other secondary effects does not lower insanity.
- Insanity drops to 0 when a Special Skill is cast on revered targets.
- Reaching 100 Insanity automatically casts a Special Skill when mana is full.
- Passive Skills that trigger on Special Skill cast don’t trigger if Insanity activates.

Special Skill: Essense of Queen N/itocris
- Cleanses status ailments from the caster and nearby allies.
- Recovers 100% health for the caster and nearby allies.
- Caster and nearby allies receive mana each turn for 6 turns. Received mana increases each turn until the last turn, when 100% mana is received.
- Inflicts 40 Insanity to nearby allies.
- The caster turns into Yag-Mago for 6 turns. This effect can’t be dispelled. The Yag-Mago has 200% attack, 150% defense and the following Special Skill:
Ethernal Bond (Very Fast)
- Deals 300% damage and inflicts 20 Insanity to all enemies.
- Revives a random defeated ally with 50% HP.

Special Skill: Cuts of Hulu
- Deals 300% damage and inflicts 20 Insanity to the enemies on the edges of the enemy formation. If there is only one enemy allive, the damage and Insanity is doubled.
- The enemies on the edges of the enemy formation resist healing and receive 250 damage per each resisted healing for 3 turns.
- Inflicts 40 Insanity to the caster.
