This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the new Dragon Raids.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Dragon Raids

  • This game mode is activated only when you have built a Watchtower.
  • Similarly to the normal game you can raid other player’s defense team.
  • The Raid consumes Dragon Raid Energy, and you can have 6 Dragon Raid Energy in total, and this Energy is refills after a certain amount of time.
  • The differences between the regular game is just that you can select your heroes from the normal game mode as a Dragon Rider instead of Troops.
  • You can select the non costumed version of the hero, and it’s rarity and element should match with the Dragon’s.
  • The Dragon rider’s stats are just added to the Dragon’s stats during the Raid.
  • There is a seperate Leaderboard for Dragon Raids see bellow.
  • If you lose then you lose Cups. Fish and Dragonstone.
  • If you win, then you win Cups, Fish and Dragonstone.

Leaderboard

It can be opened from the Raids view and from the base view too.
Similarly to regular raids you can see the Top Player and Top Alliances in Global and in Local country too.

There are different Raid Areas similarly to regular raids, but here sub-arenas are added:

Cup threshold Arena name
0 Bronze I
200 Bronze II
4000 Bronze III
600 Silver I
800 Silver II
1000 Silver III
1200 Gold I
1400 Gold II
1600 Gold III
1800 Platinum I
2000 Platinum II
2200 Platinum III
2400 Diamond I
2600 Diamond II
2800 Diamond III

Collect trophies to reach higher areanas. The possible loot gained from the Wanted: Dragon chests Idle Raid Chest improves on the advanced arenas.

It’s going to be an interesting climb up
having to build the dragon roster from scratch.

And with no raid tournament equivalent, I can’t see myself prioritising this too much. Few raids, ok, let’s pause and wait until the energy refreshes

Do they benefit from costume bonus still? Or are costumes just worthless on the Dragon side?

If I don’t put in a defence, guess I won’t get attacked right? :rofl::joy:

Costume bonuses apply, but it only uses the base version’s stats. So if you don’t always level up the base, the stats won’t be maxed for the dragon, even if you have a costume at a higher level.

We should distinguish these dragon arenas from the regular arenas.
My suggestion for the names of these new Drarenas:

Drups (=Dragon cups) Drarena name (=Dragon arena)
0 Dronze (= Dragon bronze)
600 Drilver (=Dragon silver)
1200 Drold (=Dragon gold)
1800 Dratinum (=Dragon platinum)
2400 Driamond (=Dragon diamond)

Are we not calling them D-Cups?
