Often players on the Forum wonder about what’s going on in Beta.

If you’re a regular reader of the Forum, then you’ll find that there’s actually abundant conversation about what’s going on in Beta at any given time.

And that’s actually allowed!

What’s restricted is images and videos — but discussion is ok:

The challenge is that information is often scattered around the Forum. I’ve created The Beta Beat to help centralize it for those who are 0interested.

The Beta Beat is a series of threads which are evolving as I get feedback on what’s helpful to players.

My main focus is giving some high-level guidance of what’s going on in current testing, so players outside of Beta can be better informed.

Like Beta itself, this thread is experimental and will evolve based on your feedback.

Information from Beta is frankly often mostly useless, so don’t get too attached.

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes and features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release.

That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of hero skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to hero stats to be made, or for large chunks of new functionality to be completely changed.

Often Incomplete Information Circulates

Many of us have seen screenshots and other information shared on LINE, Discord, Facebook, and other groups — often without context or explanation.

These can lead to confusion and misunderstanding.

Often, early Beta information — the least reliable or useful — is circulated…and then updated information is missed.

I’m hoping centralizing some high-level information on the Forum may help to reduce this as well.

IMPORTANT: I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of heroes or functionality to be removed, reworked, or radically changed beyond recognition.

The first build for V74 has arrived.
Contents:

  • 3 new Garrison Guard heroes
  • 1 new Faun hero
  • Treasure Quest: New extra challenging bonus level added (TP: 14 000, Reward: Pin)

No, it is just a plain an simple pin (A :fire: pin as the Fire Quest version is in testing) without any further loot (other than Food, Iron, Recruit and XP).

Yeah, it’s stuff like the best weapon for defeating the hardest boss in Final Fantasy games. You can put it in your profile and brag about it, but otherwise it has no real use. Too bad for me I am obsessed with collecting junk like this.

Ooh, I am really looking forward to try that ultra level.
They haven’t had any actually hard PvE content since the Mega-Moreau boss, and he got nerfed shortly after
Lego troops has also made everything even easier.
This might be fun and make you need to think and create a team specifically for the challenge ahead

Hope they modify the UI to let us use 10 heros on that… still don’t think I’d get up to 14,000 TP.

The last Beta for 2024 is here.

  • This new roster sorting / filtering option
  • New Untold Tales 2 heroes (2 Legendary, 1-1 Epic and Rare)
  • Glass costumes are arrived back to testing.
  • Treasue Quest variations (Dark ascension, Tower/Alliance Coin)

It’s a little buggy in beta (the UI overlaps on each other depending on what you click). I expect that will be fixed in time.

The filtering options are rarity, class, element, and family. There’s also a search by name text box. It’s definitely an improvement from what we’ve had.

But…
Alternate costumes don’t show up when filtering by class.
There are so many families, sometimes I think it would be easier to have some options like “season 2” or “season 3”. as collections of small families.
There’s no filtering by power level, ascension level, or mana speed.
I’m guessing others can quickly name something they’d like as a filter

How did something like that get passed by internal testing ???

That’s a huge fail in my opinion :cry:

79 by my count.

Even my personal database has filter by mana speed :rofl:

The UI was bugged with one click. So I’m guessing it didn’t. I bet they know how to fix it, didn’t have it ready for this beta test, but have it ready for the v74 release.

But it doesn’t inspire confidence
