Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

:tophat: Dragons

*There are a total of forteen (14) dragons are arrived to Beta for testing.

*The names of the new heroes are:

  • Epic: Bathosh, Cuddlewing, Deathflayer, Forto, Owlford, Shen Lin, Skydancer, Xiao Fang, Xondar, Yvestrasza
  • Rare: Ardere, Silva, Solis, Vesperi

Assist Skill

  • This Skill can be used inside the regular game if you equip a Dragon to your team in the regular game.
  • It has it own mana speed, which can be different than the Dragon’s skill.
  • Mana speed of it is now Dragon.

Spirit Bonus

  • If you equip a Dragon to your team in the regular game, then it gives stat boosts to all of your team members.
  • Now it is static at maxed level based on rarity.
    • Legendary: Attack: +200, Defense: +150, Health + 100

How many tiles is dragon speed?

It’s 12 tiles / 1200MP (same as slow).

Pardon the perhaps obvious question, but if “Dragon” speed is “Slow” speed…

…is there a reason the same speed apparently needed a new name? (I suppose if there is some mechanic that targets “Dragon” speed specifically… and somehow not the dragons, with that speed?)

Or is this kinda more like “of course Ninja/Charge speed has to be somethingsomething different from Styx speed because somethingsomething reasons.”

Well, theres that blue hero that deals damage to enemies when they cast a certain speed, If they wanted to do more of that then it makes sense to keep dragon out of it. It’s possible that they may want to add stuff like dragon speed cannot be increased by buffed tiles or something. By the way, can you make dragons faster by buffing tiles with mana regeneration (like Rhys and some other heroes do)?

Even if this is Slow, than it is still a buff as it was “Very slow” earlier.

Maybe they want the ability to adust the speed seperatly from other heroes’s speed, and that is reason why they have added a new mana speed.

Wtf is recovers 5880 health means?

It means that they will deteriorate much more rapidly than if the “recovered HP” were say, 50%.
This way the heal is static…

So in a year’s time after they finally release these things, maybe.
Then 6 months after that
Errr… maybe 1 month :joy:
they will already be out paced by the
…very costly,
“new” dragons!

The old dragon would still be pretty good if the heal were a percentage. But with the static number and the “new” bigger stats the older dragon will be “garbage”

Think of them as Lego troops.
The BBU couldn’t get momentum. So they pushed it through regardless, using Lego troops.
Now if you want to “keep up with the Jones’s” then spend more time grinding on troops and… “farm, farm, farm, farm,”
Very boring. But some people really live for it. Others get their wallet out. And then flood the ground with tears when their money gets stealth nerfed by new releases, because their short-term brains can’t pay attention to the creep pace.

Meanwhile aether and emblems have been run into the ground. It’s also very very boring. I think the devs know this. The dragons are basically more development material for you to work on. They’re just wearing different makeup.
…except
The devs can completely replace the entirety of your work/investment/time/money with a new and improved Legendary that heals by a larger static number, or start seeping in percentages.
And then later, bigger percentages.
And so on
And so forth

I see, it might be shocking on beginner or intermediate players where their near death opponent heroes fully recover once the opponent dragon recovers such a massive heal

I think the “assist heal” is smaller than what the dragon receives.
That’s what I’m reading from line anyway.

Which is why they will function like a development material. One that is
…replaceable

Anyway, the “shock value” can always be replaced with the:

“They are struggling too”, sentiment.

And a few others can enjoy beating on their drums in the forum.
