🧪 Early Information on Round 6 of Plain Hunter Heroes [Part of The Beta Beat v71]

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the Round 6 of Plain Hunter Heroes.


Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

There are a total of three (3) new heroes added to Beta for testing; these have been indicated to be for a “Monster Island Summon”.

This character has a 10% chance to negate -100% of the direct damage received from Special Skills.

Passive: Damage over time on Special
When this character casts their Special Skill, they give a Hunter’s Mark on a random enemy. The target receives 150 damage over 3 turns. If a target already has this effect, the duration will be refreshed and the damage will be increased with 150, up to 1500 damage in total.

Special Skill: Carve the Bones

  • Deals 360% damage to all enemies.
  • Summons a Bone Trap Fiend for all enemies. The Fiend damages the enemy with 45% attack every turn. The damage increases by 8% each turn, up to a maximum 93%.
  • The Bone Trap Fiend absorbs healing and disappears when it has absorbed health equal to 45% of its owner’s max health.
  • All enemies can’t get their status ailments cleansed or reallocated by Special Skill for as long as they have Bone Trap Fiends. (This effect alos prevents cleansing and reallocating of itself.)

When this character casts their Special Skill, they give a Hunter’s Mark on a random enemy. The target receives 150 damage over 3 turns. If a target already has this effect, the duration will be refreshed and the damage will be increased with 150, up to 1500 damage in total.

Special Skill: Staggering Blows

  • Deals 500% damage to the enemy with the lowest remaining HP. Deals 100% damage to all other enemies.
  • The enemy that had the lowest remaining HP is unable to gain mana for 6 turns.
  • Deals 750% damage to the enemy with highest remaining HP. Deals 150% damage to all other enemies.
  • The enemy that had the highest remaining HP is unable to gain mana for 6 4 turns.
  • Other enemies are unable to gain mana for 2 turns.

When this character casts their Special Skill, they give a Hunter’s Mark on a random enemy. The target receives 150 damage over 3 turns. If a target already has this effect, the duration will be refreshed and the damage will be increased with 150, up to 1500 damage in total.

Special Skill: Weakening Strike

  • Deals 380% damage to the target and nearby enemies.
  • Reduces max health of the target and nearby enemies by 660 over 3 turns. This effect is stronger against targets with boosted health. The effect udration resets if the target is healed. (Max health can’t get lower than 30% pf the original max health. Any boosted health is reduced by an additional 220 per turn.)

Berit!!!

Wow, 500% if tile damage is done should cripple.
Two heroes will quite possibly be dead after Berit fires and at least one, possibly two will not be gaining any mana afterwards.
The middle HP heroes will still take two hits (100% and 150%) from Berit.
Since Berit is slow mana who knows which heroes will have fired first and how much tile damage will have been done. This is a finisher!

What happens if taunt is up and the taunt hero is neither the most HP nor the least? 100% + 150% damage or 500% + 750%? Is a taunting hero treated as the only hero or are all the others still considered but not able to be hit?

The hit flanks heroes such as Jabberwock hit the taunter twice but one of the insanity heroes can be stymied by a taunter when launching an attack on itself, so wondering which way the Berit’s special is treated by a taunter.
