🧪 The Beta Beat (V75) - Special Guest event, Beowulf and Garrison heroes -- Sharing the Big Picture on What's Going on in Beta

NOTE: Please do not, under any circumstances, share IMAGES OR VIDEOS from Beta in this or any public Forum thread. Violations can cause players to lose their Beta accounts, or threads to be closed down.

 What’s this all about?

Click Here for Details About This Thread's Intention & Format

Often players on the Forum wonder about what’s going on in Beta.

If you’re a regular reader of the Forum, then you’ll find that there’s actually abundant conversation about what’s going on in Beta at any given time.

And that’s actually allowed!

What’s restricted is images and videos — but discussion is ok:

The challenge is that information is often scattered around the Forum. I’ve created The Beta Beat to help centralize it for those who are 0interested.

The Beta Beat is a series of threads which are evolving as I get feedback on what’s helpful to players.

My main focus is giving some high-level guidance of what’s going on in current testing, so players outside of Beta can be better informed.

Like Beta itself, this thread is experimental and will evolve based on your feedback.

Information from Beta is frankly often mostly useless, so don’t get too attached.

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes and features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release.

That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of hero skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to hero stats to be made, or for large chunks of new functionality to be completely changed.

Often Incomplete Information Circulates

Many of us have seen screenshots and other information shared on LINE, Discord, Facebook, and other groups — often without context or explanation.

These can lead to confusion and misunderstanding.

Often, early Beta information — the least reliable or useful — is circulated…and then updated information is missed.

I’m hoping centralizing some high-level information on the Forum may help to reduce this as well.

What’s Going on in Beta Right Now

IMPORTANT: I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of heroes or functionality to be removed, reworked, or radically changed beyond recognition.

:left_speech_bubble: Feedback?

I’d love to hear thoughts on whether this information and format is useful, and how you’d like to see information presented in the future. Any thoughts or ideas?

Please try to limit discussion in this thread mostly to the information sharing process and feedback on the thread, so we don’t end up with a jumbled discussion of a bunch of different heroes — use the threads linked above for each individual hero to discuss more.

Thanks!

Not much chatter on this one… just letting you know that this is very useful info, and that I’d miss it if you stopped.

The second Beta is here:

  • 15* titans
  • New tournament rule: Dragon tournament
  • Hero coach (max out heroes with gems)
  • New dragons

I will add topic about these later.

Hero coach… uh oh :no_mouth:
Dragon tournament could be fun, though? Wonder will it restrict use of dragons to the rarity of heroes? ie 3 star heroes only = 3 star dragons

15 star titans have 8 million HP. Unclear how loot is changing. Is this another example of being careful what we wish for? Many love this idea. I’m skeptical for the time being until I see if loot proportionately increases as well.

A couple of months ago I did some testing on how much damage titans do against difference defense values so we would know how to emblem heroes. I just tested similar heroes against the 15 star green titan:

Hero 14 star 15 star
Buster 1400 1837
C.Wilbur 1176 1610
T.Azlar 891 1221

The 15 star titan one shots C.Wilbur. Not a huge problem as I can use Wilbur to increase survivability. But I use heroes like Chesire Cat, Almur, Bertulf, Sergei on my titan teams. They’re all going to get one shot.

Hero Defense w troop 15 star damage
T.Azlar 1718 1170
Timothy 1524 1263
Flip 1183 1436
Queen of Hearts 1073 1441
Khagan.CB1 922 1523
Ferant 819 1674

It’s also worth noting some titans get growth with their special. So survivability will decrease with each titan special.

These are raw damage numbers, right? Defensive banners and/or attack down ailments on the titan should mitigate some of the damage, maybe enough to survive a one shot. :woman_shrugging:

15 Titans have passives and they can resist ailments with a certain chance.

Yes these are raw damage.

Turtle and dragon banners can help mitigate damage. Axes and bombs can help too but may be resisted. Obviously there are other methods too.

Is the growth another passive? I saw they have 2 passives

I very much like this idea :green_heart:
Let’s hope it gets implemented soon :crossed_fingers:

No. See above (and below)

15 star green titan passives
1 50% chance to resist ailments and dispels
2 resist stopping mana generation

Got my first loot. Defeated titan, C score, but reduced loot. So I ended up in tier 7.

If C loot gets the tier of the titan, that means I was in tier 15. Divide by two for reduced loot and I’m down to 7 (although I thought reduced loot rounded up).
I’ll have to see what happens when I get full loot, but right now this 15 star titan looks like a one tier bump to loot.

For those that asked for higher level titans without an increase in rewards, it looks like that’s what we’re getting.

I consider this a negative change for the game (but recognize to many, they’ll love it).

I always open with GE against titans so unless they get immunity to Atk decrease I should be able to handle him. Was funny last Mythic when combined Growth from Grimsteel, defense increase stacks from Firmin Richard and attack decrease stack on Ifrit caused his attack to hit for double digits, lol.

Do they resist negative stacks?
