🧪 Early Information on Hero Coach [Part of The Beta Beat v75]

• Hero coach (max out heroes with gems)

Hero coach takes any legendary hero (legendary only) and maxes them out. “Hero will be leveled dup to level 90, ascension level 4, and twice limit broken. The gem cost of training a hero is reduced if the hero has been leveled up.”
“Train one hero per event”
“heroes that were released 731 days before the start of this event”

Gem cost by hero level (I only have certain options to test here):
1/1: 1000
1/6: 981
3/45: 428
3/49: 413
3/70: 334
4/80: 37
4/85: 18

I don’t plan on using this for heroes at 1/1. But heroes at 3/70, I’ll do it. Even better for a hero at 4/80.
FYI this does not level up costumes.

Love this idea. It adds value at a cost. Anyone who doesn’t value it won’t spend.
1000 for a hero at 1/1 seems steep at first. But then I saw it’s about a third of the cost for a hero at 3/70. And for heroes fully leveled the cost is a no brainer (I’d do multiple if I could).

Best use cases:
1 New soul exchange or dated summons pick. I definitely expect someone to do this and have a too new hero and be upset they didn’t understand.
2 Pulled an old event hero that you wouldn’t fully level otherwise but with this can be competitive
3 pulled a classic hero with costume but you never leveled the classic hero. This greatly cuts down on the leveling process
4 you have a hero at 3/70 or 4/80 and this will move them to usable.

As with similar features (SE, FS, VO) this doesn’t change the meta. But it helps build depth to make lower strength players more competitive.

I like the idea of SE, VO, and HC rotating quarterly so we always have one each month. It helps to give players something to look forward to.
