🧪 The Beta Beat (V44) – New event hero costumes, Challenge Festival Event, Updated Alliance Quest, Season 4 and Clash of Knights and Ninja heroes and HoTMs -- Sharing the Big Picture on What's Going on in Beta

NOTE: Please do not, under any circumstances, share IMAGES OR VIDEOS from Beta in this or any public Forum thread. Violations can cause players to lose their Beta accounts, or threads to be closed down.

 What’s this all about?

Click Here for Details About This Thread's Intention & Format

Often players on the Forum wonder about what’s going on in Beta.

If you’re a regular reader of the Forum, then you’ll find that there’s actually abundant conversation about what’s going on in Beta at any given time.

And that’s actually allowed!

What’s restricted is images and videos — but discussion is ok:

The challenge is that information is often scattered around the Forum. I’ve created The Beta Beat to help centralize it for those who are interested.

The Beta Beat is a series of threads which are evolving as I get feedback on what’s helpful to players.

My main focus is giving some high-level guidance of what’s going on in current testing, so players outside of Beta can be better informed.

Like Beta itself, this thread is experimental and will evolve based on your feedback.

Information from Beta is frankly often mostly useless, so don’t get too attached.

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes and features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release.

That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of hero skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to hero stats to be made, or for large chunks of new functionality to be completely changed.

Often Incomplete Information Circulates

Many of us have seen screenshots and other information shared on LINE, Discord, Facebook, and other groups — often without context or explanation.

These can lead to confusion and misunderstanding.

Often, early Beta information — the least reliable or useful — is circulated…and then updated information is missed.

I’m hoping centralizing some high-level information on the Forum may help to reduce this as well.

What’s Going on in Beta Right Now

IMPORTANT: I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of heroes or functionality to be removed, reworked, or radically changed beyond recognition.

:left_speech_bubble: Feedback?

I’d love to hear thoughts on whether this information and format is useful, and how you’d like to see information presented in the future. Any thoughts or ideas?

Please try to limit discussion in this thread mostly to the information sharing process and feedback on the thread, so we don’t end up with a jumbled discussion of a bunch of different heroes — use the threads linked above for each individual hero to discuss more.

Thanks!

was reeeally hopping for some new content that was not about new summons, some new war mode, changes in HA or smth =(

Hmmm Season 1 heroes are not included in the portal. The worse you can get is a rare event or trainer hero.

Oh yeah! New rares! I’m not the only one who’s been thinking new 5* are all very well, but where’s some love for the other tiers?

Now we know what those mysterious new heroes were for. Also interested to see some costumes I hadn’t heard about. I have only 2 of the heroes in that list so I’d be happy to get the others even if they didn’t have costumes, and even happier now they do.

:upside_down_face:  oh fabulous day.

Before I spend challenge coins in teltoc, can you confirm if challenge coins useable for this or if different??

That’s probably the best things happened to the game in last couple years. I really hope that would make It into live game.

good direction, it will be same amount of gems need for pulls?

I guess I should save all coins from Guardians for the Challenge Festival.

I must try to maximise my chances for Bauchan!:pray:

Yes challange coins are used for free summons.

@Kilted
Yes, these seems to be the same challange coins.

@marki
The gem cost seems to be the same. 300 /1 pull, 2600 for 10.

Ooh, I cross posted with this one so only just seen it. Personally I think this sounds like a very positive move, but no doubt it will annoy some people. Because there aren’t enough challenge events that you can pull s1 from, obviously.

Fantastic will be able to keep my 5 free pulls I was going to hope for Panther with

Well…, no more Dawas etc, higher chance for Bauchan.

I won’t be using my coins for GoT now.

Love the indirect paywall. Well done SGG!

Most of the 5* would have been stripped of emblems by now, bar the still useable legendaries for current meta.

3* shouldn’t be an issue. See heaps of LB emblemmed Bauchan running around.

Ditto 4*.

The new Season 4 heroes related topic is ready:

Sounds nice at first, and personally I really like that I will get a trainer instead of a S1 hero.

Are the odds for event heroes increased (which would be great) , or are they the same like in the other challenge event portals?

And can we use challenge event coins or only gems (or new coins)?

Here are the apperarance rates @ferg
11% chance of a trainer hero (10% - Rare, 1% Epic)
89% chance of an event hero (61% - Rare, 25.5% - Epic, 2.5% - Legendary)
+1.3% chance for the HoTM

The Festival bonus chest can include (after each 10 pull): Limit Break Materials, Ascension Materials, Class Emblems, Good Bundles and Trainer Heroes.

Wow.
Can’t really believe, that those odds will stay. :open_mouth:
