All Information from Beta is Subject to Change!

Don’t get attached

Details from beta, especially brand-new beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual hero release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes are changed during beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to stats to be made.

Or: How many summons are needed to get a HOTM?

Special thanks to @Garanwyn for assistance on summoning odds and proofreading for this section.

It’s important to remember that HOTM have very low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a HOTM.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 12.3% chance of summoning the HOTM.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 73 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 100
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 229
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 352

Putting that in Perspective

  • 27 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 100th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 100 times, 270,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 229th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 229 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

Not bad, some players will like her. Pity she doesn’t dispel first.

Only 200%? Sorry, not asking for 400% like an Elf would be but 200%?!

250-270% would be suitable. Even for a HOTM. The burn damage is not huge for justify that 200%. Also it is diluted for 4 turns, is dispelable and won’t cause side effects like healing back x% of the damage dealt.

Just my 2c.

If it was cleanser instead of dispeller I’d like to get her.

When hotm now become vanilla heroes

I think at vf with these numbers she would be decent, but still not something top players would level

Burn to all. Gain 5% mana any time an enemy receives burn.

Something tells me it’s once a turn vs possibly 5 times a turn.

I did a quick test. Seems to be once per turn. After three turns with three enemies being burned, I clearly did not have close to 45% mana.

I figured as much. “How can we make an interesting mechanic ignorable?”

Perhaps i could save some gems for solstice

Seems useful for depth. Not one to pull for however.

I blame the GTV meta back in the day for making SGG separate power budgets for HotMs and for new featured heroes.

All three of 2025’s HotMs seem to be hot garbage, doing about a third of the effects of event heroes at the same speed.

Hopefully they will buff her to 220-250% damage to all before release, or at least change the 600+ burn damage over 4 turns to 2 turns.

I’m not sure I want to play the blame game, but I do agree with @Eldente that HotM should be released closer to the meta heros than vanilla hero stats.

644 burn over 4 turns. Meanwhile Whitefang does 300 frost damage per turn that never ends and spreads on all enemies too, at faster speed to boot.

Too low! 300% damage is considered ok average for today game

Considering too low even she deal direct damage.

I believe reflection ir immune would make her popular

Priority dispel + making passive mana boost working as described (i. e. 25% mana per turn if 5 enemies are burne, 4 turns of burn making it a full charge) would make an ok-ish hero (still not one to be chased after, but at least usable).
