🧪 Early Information on Round 1 of Season 3 Hero Costumes [Part of The Beta Beat v49]

NOTE: Please do not, under any circumstances, share IMAGES OR VIDEOS from Beta in this or any public Forum thread. Violations can cause players to lose their Beta accounts, or threads to be closed down.

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the new costumes for Season 3 (Valhalla) heroes.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Most of these costumes are just buffs, its dumb and I’m sure we will get S4 costumes this year, maybe even S5 costumes LOL.

More boring costumes. Change %s. Overheal to heal or hot. Minions summoners costumes summon minions. Healer’s costumes heal. Rezzer’s costumes rez. Counterattacker’s costume Counterattacks.

Boring. Lacking creativity. Meh.

What the? And Season 2 hero costumes have worse costume bonus?? What is this logic?

About the costumes… most of them, if not all, were just straight buffs, not slight, one could say HUGE. Freya for example, yeah… Okay.

Heimdall becomes the best reviving hero in the game

Skadi and Heimdall are overall, better than their original.

I think Freya could be toned down. Minions and 50% to dodge is kinda pushing it. and those minions gaining 240% attack, which exceeds Frosth’s cap of 200% attack boost.

Gefjon becoming a hit 3, but also nice defense boost to her.

Sif and Baldur I’m not that interested in.

But, im glad that Frigg, Odin, Bera, and Alfrike are not getting costumes(for now, but that could change down the road).

@PlayForFun

That 5-5-10-5 applies to CF costumes. CF not included in that column. If you want to add that to the list.

Could bet lots of money They Will soon

Male version of classic MN, sort of. Lol

No bets required. Costumes are “guaranteed” for them.

How can SGG resist issuing costumes for these profitable heroes ?

Costume Skadi, being a paladin, can easily get to 1k defense. I wonder how high it’ll go.

Heimdal, Skadi and Gefjon atr a must have again

Boring. Nothing new, only buffed versions of existing heroes. If you think these heroes need a buff, buff them directly, not with a pay wall!

In the end it doesn’t matter for me. As long there’s no real chance (vf is a joke) to get more Walhalla coins I won’t do any summons for S3 anymore.

Whales will have more overpowered heroes and most players of my alliance and me can’t compete with them anymore. That’s life… and makes us losing interest in the game bit by bit…

@PlayForFun on Gefjon, I suppose this is 335%, correct?

Wtf… Freya, gefjon, sif wow…too powerfull. That’s sad my regular bera,sif and skadi are… Meh… just 1,5 year later…

Wow Freya seems great with costume.

Baldur and Skadi - already great heroes now are even stronger.

First impressions of the legendaries.

Freya is already top notch hero… Buffing her this much is just ridiculous, will make too many war attacks futile.
And revive is a sure way to anger people, MN is already too high % so why not add another hero so there are even more angry players??
Sucks…
Using costumes to balance those heroes that are underused makes some sense… This doesn’t

so many 5* costumes, as if I will ever summon one of those anyway :stuck_out_tongue: did not read the descriptions…

for the rest:

Gullin - I think I prefer the special skill of the original, overheal > heal over time

Sumle - I had to look at the original to see the difference. TBH

Bjorn - mana slow at least is a bit more generally-useful than the added damage vs. Holy of original

Kvasir - also useful, preventing buffs vs. preventing minions

on the whole though, I do not feel particularly excited… after all, farming for Valhalla coins takes so long now, and the costumes are not likely to make me want to save gems for S3 instead of spending them on newer portals.
