Or: How many summons are needed to get a Valhalla Rare Hero?

It’s important to remember that Season 3 Valhalla Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Season 3 Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 13.7% chance of summoning Gullinbursti.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 36 times out of 100, you’ll get Gullinbursti by pull 30
  • 59 times out of 100, you’ll get Gullinbursti by pull 60
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get Gullinbursti by pull 203
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Gullinbursti by pull 314

Putting that in Perspective

  • 64 out of every 100 people won’t get Gullinbursti by the 30th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 30 times, 640,000 of those players wouldn’t get Gullinbursti

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get Gullinbursti by the 203rd pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 203 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get Gullinbursti

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

as i dont have a yellow healer should i consider him a “pseudo” healer ? even at slow speed?

Okay, I am a little bit confused about the second part because: I assume it will deal max of the +164-284% damage which requires 12 hit (1210%). Now with the first part it will be 45+1220=285% attack increase. Raw dmg output: 603 pts * 285% * 284%=4880 dmg PER enemy, higher than Lianna

I got him, it will be my next yellow project when I finish Lady Sheep.

I think I’ve got what you are trying to say, though I’m not sure about the calcs but I assume that as the text says “when the effect ends” that means that the attack buff will have ended before he fires the damage so it will be a standard 164% - 284% of damage?

Yeah, more likely that will be the case

From coins… is he good? Healer in yellow must be good right?

Plus damage, if he doesn’t die!

By description, he looks to be what Guardian Owl should have been.

Healing all allies and silently crafting a nuclear attack that is devastating at its full potential.

Except he does not rely on dead allies (actually, the more living the better) and he doesn’t care for his low base attack - it gets better with the buff, and does not impact his survivability.

Seems like a fun hero. Rush attack on 4 star tourneys he will be insane (on offense, on defense I am afraid it’s too easy to counter him with a dispell). Especially if you keep two copies of him - oh my.

I didn’t get him sadly, but if I did, he’d be on his way to eat those orbs.

AFAIK, dispel does not prevent damage. Only minimizes. And you cannot dispel boosted health.

But it removes his attack buff, right? With 600 attack, a 160% damage is around Li Xiu tier.

Unless, when dispelled, it triggers at already built-up %?

AFAIK, it just triggers, not with minimal percent.

Have I misunderstood his card? The card is not clear about who gets the damage throughout the duration. Is it the allies or the enemies?

I just got it, it seems fun hero! Love the druid type and the special & base stats

I got him and I’m very happy to have him. I pulled Heimdall but I never had the mats to max him. But even at 3.70 he’s incredibly powerful. I think people will be really impressed by the extra health healing when they see what it can do. Also from playing around with him: if you fire Gullenbursti a second time when his effect is still active, he never deals damage from the first time.

Also FYI you can use him to roll into the boss wave of any level etc. with double hit points for your entire team which makes it very hard to lose.

Combine him with Wilbur and he hits like a truck

In theory he is squishy, I’m not sure though his HP is little bit high.
Should be like Gadeirus/Buddy… or minimum like Hu Tao stat.
Let see if he is solid. I would try after maxed.

I think he is great if enemy full of DoT instead of direct damage. :+1: :muscle:

I was testing him a bit and the boost to the hp is really huge.
You can emblem him into def and hp to make sure he fires . He drawback is the slow speed .

The heroes were all at early levels of first ascension

His attack buff does seem to be applied to the damage dealt. The yellow sword icon is shown (attached).

Mine is still at 1/1 and his attack stat is only 284, but he already dealt 100+ damage, compared to 500+ by my Snow White +19. That’s just crazy.

I think he will deal damage just like AnWindr in the map stage.

What if he fully charges before he explodes?
