Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.


Season :four:!!

Per the 2021 Sneak Peek, Season 4 is scheduled for Q1/Q2 of 2021. The announced theme is “Explorers of the Abyss”

In version 36.3, all “abyss” references have been switched to “Underwild” which is the new title of the S4 event.

Repeat, please do not discuss Season 4 Theme/ Gameplay on this thread. it is SPECIFICALLY for the Season 4 Heroes.

Special Skill: Parasitic Infection

  • Summons a Worm Parasite for all enemies. The parasite damages the enemy with 32% attack every turn.
  • The parasite absorbs healing and disappears when it has absorbed health equal to 16% of the target’s max health.


:hugs: Family Bonus

Newly added to V36.1 is a family bonus. Unlike previous Seasons, ther is only 1 (ONE) family for all of Season 4 heroes so far.

The family is called the “Underwild Family”, which has the below effect:

Families give bonuses for each unique Hero of the same family in battle.

Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 Heroes:

  • a% / b% / c% / d% / e% chance to spawn an Underwild Gem on board when this hero casts Special Skill

Underwild Gem deals x% damage to a random enemy each turn.

Underwild Gems can only be spawned on a normal shield on board that has the same element as this Hero.

The exact damage done by an Underwild Gem depends on what Rarity Hero spawned it; The damge is:

  • Rare = 25
  • Epic = 35
  • Legendary = 50

The exact percentage depends on the mana speed of the hero:

:gem: Underwild Gems

Some more info on the Underwild Gems:

  • Any S4 hero special skill triggers the proc’ing of potentially spawning an Underwild Gem

    • Underwild Gem from attack team damages defence team
    • Underwild Gem from defence team damages the attacking team
    • Both types of gems appear on the board, replacing a tile;
      • attacking team ones have a green up arrow on them;
      • defending team ones have a red down arrow on them.
    • Not yet clear if its possible to replace a Defence Underwild Gem with an Attacking Underwild Gem on the same tile spot…
  • Underwild Gems ONLY appear on the corresponding coloured tile to the hero who triggered it

    • i.e. yellow hero causes it? goes on a yellow tile
    • if there are no tiles on the board of that colour, no gem is formed.
  • Underwild Gem damage IS NOT affected by inherent elemental resistances (i.e. yellow will do 50 damage when striking a yellow enemy)

  • Underwild Gems CANNOT spawn on special shields (tiles)… So won’t form on a Dragon Bomb, Diamond or a Runic Rock.

  • Underwild Gems get cleared from the board in the usual way.

    • Matching them
    • Exploding them by a Dragon Bomb
    • Clearing with a Diamond
  • Underwild Gems CAN be moved (unlike Runic Rocks).

  • Damage from Underwild Gems processes at the end of the turn after tile cascades

The power creep is huge! Good for new players, I suppose. Long timers might be turned off as the bulk of their roster is made irrelevant.

With the stats of these heroes, the heroes of the second season and the HOTMs of the first and second generation will need costumes. They will need to be improved.

There is 6* heroes. If we compared normal season 1 5* like Joon (753 power) and 827 power of new hero - this is 74 power in difference.

If you compared unemblemed Tibs+CB, this is 679 power. Exactly same power difference with Joon.

4 season heroes:

Fast mana speed to make burster (sniper) with absurd effects and overpowered ability

Resume: SG making money with pseudo 6 star heroes.

Didn’t go into details of special skills, but basic stats of these heros looks pretty strong. Makes me a bit reluctant to pull in next couple of months, or to level some of the heros I already have. :man_shrugging:t2::joy:

Yep, uncostumed season 1 heroes are basically just 4.5 stars now. Not really worth the mats. It’s a shame they take up space in every portal.

Auda new yellow sniper, and red sniper Captain Nemo.

Dr. Moreau, upgraded of Drake on purple version.

Lepiota, like Kage, but remove everything including stack which is good, at fast speed, unique Abyss Ghost.

Fog, a little upgrade (4%) from Evelyn and Almur, but only one enemy, it is better for Titan but not Raid I think.

Prof. Lidenbrock, new holy tank material stat, new boost hp overtime mechanic. Reset HP boost overtime if receive status ailment can be annoying to face.

Zenobia, :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: very very upgraded Jabberwock on Red version.
Jabberwock ATK: 743, Zenobia: 846
Jabberwock Special: 300%, Zenobia: 320%
Plus… great shield enchanched, but without any status ailment poison.
Emblem same as Jabberwock, but with emblems everywhere doubled… :sunglasses:

I hope there is 4* ice elemental defense like Almur in S4. Because Frida and KA are so hard to get and Nordri is a 3*.

EDIT: and a dark 4* element defense down

Power creep… if they want to release them as it is, they need to consume at least 30 team cost and don’t increase the max team cost from 130.

Their power is equal to non-costume S1+14… 14/20 = 0.7 so maybe they are 5.7*…
