Gargoyle Hero Use Bonus

The use of Gargolye Heroes in a given stage of the Return to Sanctuary Challenge Event will give a bonus to those heroes.

Specifically:

Heroes of the Gargoyle family bypass the Elemental Barriers in this Challenge Event’s stages

Heroes of the Gargoyle family have increased attack, defense, and health (+20%) in this Challenge Event’s stages

Gargolye Special Gameplay

This feature is NEW and UNIQUE to the Return to Sanctuary .

A new Event effect for the Return to Sanctuary: Softskin

The indicator is increasing with 20% if a battle item or special skill is used, and decreasing with 20% if it is not used.
At 20% fill rate the counterattack is 10%.
At 40% fill rate the counterattack is 20%.
At 60% fill rate the counterattack is 30%.
At 80% fill rate the counterattack is 80%.
At 100% fill rate the counterattack is 100%.

Event Rules

CHALLENGE EVENT RULES

The goal of a Challenge Event is to get a high master score. The players with the highest master score win exclusive loot at the end of the event.

Master Score is the combined score of all stages within a diffiiculty tier. Each difficulty tier has separate master score. Stages can be replayed for the best possible score.

The score from each stage is defined by the enemies defeated, speed of completion and the amount of the Hero health left at the end of a stage.
Big combos and great matches are also taken into account. Using Continues has a negative effect on the stage score. It is possible that Special Enemies spawn in stages. Defeating these enemies gives bonus points and awards Challenge Coins.

The different Difficulty Tiers have limits on what Heroes, Troops and Battle Items can be used in fights.

TIPS:

Using Battle Item can be extremly effective in Challenge Events.

Some enemies in Challenge Events have an Elemental Barrier. These enemies reflect all damage back from their own element.

Completing a difficulty tier for the first time gives and extra Tier Completion Reward that is not tied to the score.

EVENT HERO BONUS

Gain addiitional perks in the battles by using the Heroes of the Challenge Event !

Heroes of the Gargoyle familiy bypass the Elemental Barriers, and have increased attack, defense, and health in battles!

RETURN TO SANCTUARY EVENT EFFECT

There is deflecting Magical Fluff in the air!
The Fluff indicator increases every time you use a Special Skill or a Battle Item.
The higher the indicator, the more counter damage the enemies will do.

max counter damage 100%

[f the indicator is full at the beginning of a turn:

all enemies receive Softskin buff

all enemies receive 5% health

all status ailments of the enemies are cleansed

The indicator decreases if you don’t use any Special Skills or Battle Items during your turn.

Summons Costs

Like all other Event Summon Portals, the Portal Cost is per below:

Single Summon

10 Challenge Coins

300 Gems

10x Summon

2600 Gems

Summoning Appearance Rates

Please note that Challenge Event Heroes are amongst the lowest odds of any Hero in the game. Even with a large number of Summons, you are very likely not to get Challenge Event Heroes, particularly 5*.

I highly recommend setting and sticking to a budget for Summoning to avoid overspending and frustration.

Legendary Hero of the Month: 1.3%

Note: The addition of Trainer Heroes to the Portal Odds has come at the expense of Season 1 Odds. NO CHANGE has been made to the Challenge Event Hero Odds.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Did you guys not have testers or what?!

How on Earth is it possible to give -620 max health ON A RARE STAGE?!

Even for epic or legendary this is INSANE considering you can’t use the skills / battle items as the enemies counter (not to mention you can’t dispel that).

Edit: I am out from this event. I will simply ignore it.

This happened to me on Stage 8, wow, I lost! I had no way to recover, this is ridiculous

Not going to be replaying for higher scores, despite the number of casualties I’ve had. It’s just not “fun”. You are expected to use mostly tiles, then the enemy hits with such a huge level of damage.
