🧪 Early Information on New Tower of Magic Heroes [Part of The Beta Beat v39, v41]

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the initial release of the Tower of Magic Heroes (new Ninja Tower like Event).


Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.


New Event – Tower of Magic!!

The event itself has not arrived to Beta yet we have just received this information from the Staff about it:

Note on Magic Speeds.

You’ll notice that all the new heroes do not have a traditional mana speed listed (e.g. Fast, slow average). Instead they have the phrase “Magic” listed.

Similar to Ninja heroes all these new heroes have over-clocked the mana bar, but here you we will have only two tiers, and there is a completely different special skill on each tier so the second tier is not a more powerful version of the first tier.

Preliminary testing shows that it takes about ~5.6 tiles to fill the mana bar of the Heroes to first tier, and 12.3, 12,5 12.3 tiles to charge to second tier. (no mana troop used).

What I mean by this is that each hero has 2 “tiers” to their special skill.

  • If you cast with 100% mana, you get the first tier. OR
  • You can wait & keep accumulating MORE mana… Then if you cast when the bar is filled 2x times (i.e. 200% mana), you get the second and final tier of effects.

Hording more mana doesn’t give any new effect beyond the second tier.

The exact wording on the hero cards is:

  • Special Skill has different effect if charged with 100% / 200% mana.

@LatiyFundiy made some investigation of how much tiles needed for charge the heroes to each tiers:

The second charge speed is changed in V41.1 will update once the numbers are tested out

There are a total of ten (10) new heroes added to Beta for testing; these have been indicated to be for a new challenge event called “Tower of Magic”.

*The names of the new heroes are: Motega, Milena, Cristóbal, Agrafena, Nedezhda, Anton, Anastasia, Sergei, Dölgöön, Kornel

:hugs: Family Bonus

The new heroes form the “Magic” family and have a family bonus for each unique hero in the team:

Magic Family
Bonus for 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • 25% / 50% chance to cast +5% mana generation stack on a random ally when this hero casts their Special skill.
    Maximum stack size: 10

Note: Family bonus can be triggered on the first and second mana charge too.
The new heroes have passive abilities too, which can be triggered on the second mana charge only.

Special Skill: Butterfly Swarm

  • 1x Mana Charge:

    • Summons a Butterfly Minion for each ally with 13% 8%HP and 17% attack inherited from caster.
    • Each hit from a Butterfly minion gives the target the following status ailment:
      • All damage the target receives is increased by +20% for 2 turns.
  • 2x Mana Charge:

    • Summons a Butterfly Fiend for all enemies. The Fiend damages the enemy with 43% attack every turn.
    • The Butterfly Fiend absorbs healing and disappears when it has absorbed health equal to 40% 30% of its owner’s max health.
    • The Butterfly Fiend gives -50% accuracy for its owner for as long as the owner has Butterfly Fiends. Chance to miss also applies to offensive Special Skills. This effect can’t be cleansed.

    • Recovers 15% health for all allies
    • Cleanses status ailments from all allies.
  • 2x Mana Charge:
    • Deals 350% damage to all enemies.
    • Dispels buffs from all enemies.

    • All allies get +50% attack for 5 turns
    • All allies get +63% defense for 5 turns
    • All allies refgnerate 1015 HP over 5 turns.

Special Skill: Flame of the Dragon Familiar

  • 1x Mana Charge:
    • The target and nearby enemies receive 116 Burn damage over 2 turns.
    • If the caster dies during the next 2 turns they are resurrected in the beginning of their next turn with 32% health. All status effects are removed when the caster dies.
  • 2x Mana Charge:
    • Each fallen ally has a 34% chance to get revived with 50% 30% HP
    • All allies regenerate 609 HP over 3 turns.
    • All allies reduce all received damage by -50% for 3 turns.

    • Each fallen ally has 34% chance to get revived with 50% 30% HP
    • All allies regenerate 405 HP over 5 turns.

  • 2x Mana Charge:
    • The target and nearby enemies get -44% defense, and a further -4% increase every time they are hit during 6 turns.

So, 1st tier is one tiles faster then Very Fast and 2nd Tier is one tile slower then Slow heroes.

Yes, and now they are available for 4 star heroes too…

As I mentioned in OP the event is not in Beta yet. So we have just that much information what is quoted in OP.

These are simply ridiculously OP, 1st tier is faster than very fast, 2nd is faster than slow and all have basically instant win abilities. I smell pure cashgrab.

I don’t even want to read those specials skills. More and more OP skills it’s getting out of control and really boring.

It will probably will make me quite the game. Even S4 heroes are not that OP compared to each of these heroes.

You have basically 2 heroes in 1 now :roll_eyes:

Well those are some mighty outrageous specials there. I hope they get turned down a notch in testing.

I really like having the abilities change with charge level. Just some balancing and they’ll be a fun addition.

Slow hero is 12 tiles, and 2nd tier is ~12.3, so it is one tile slower then slow heroes.

I’m glad we’re getting a red ressurection hero, but 34% chance with 50%? that seems a little too much. Even when adding in 609 hp over 3 turns and -50% damage reduction from all styles of attacks

Personally, I’m baffled this is coming out but I guess it should be a surprise. I’m betting the profits for this last ninja tower was way down hence, the new money maker. Instead of introducing new ninjas that are 813 TP, just add a new event into the already overpacked calendar

Another tower (like having 1 boring as hell, time consuming event was not enough) and another bag of overpowered heroes to push event summons. This is getting old.

Hmmm, it seems people really dont like the ninja tower. I know, let’s add another tower event, that will be really funny. Oh and while we’re at it, let’s release a load of game breaking OP heroes, that will show them… ha ha, these idiots will swallow anything.

Seriously, these guys are either the biggest idiots that ever lived that really have no clue about their player base, or they are getting paid to perform some form of social experiment to see how far they can push things.
