defense-up Defense Up At the start of each battle, this Hero gets +20% defense for 6 turns.
In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.
:hourglass: Ability: When this character casts their Special Skill, they have 50% chance to deal 100% damage to all their enemies. If the Special Skill is fully charged, the chance is 100%.
:dizzy: Special Skill: Imaginary Increments
  • 1x Mana Charge:
    • The caster and nearby allies get +45% attack, and a futher 20% increase every time they are hit during 3 turns.
  • 2x Mana Charge:
    • The target and nearby enemies get -44% defense, and a further -4% increase every time they are hit during 6 turns.

The new heroes form the “Magic” family and have a family bonus for each unique hero in the team:

Magic Family
Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • 50% / 75% / 100% chance to cast +5% mana generation stack on a random ally when this hero casts their Special skill.
    Maximum stack size: 10

Note: Family bonus can be triggered on the first and second mana charge too.
The new heroes have passive abilities too, which can be triggered on the second mana charge only.

It’s important to remember that Challenge Event Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Challenge Event Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 33.2% chance of summoning Kornel.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 55 times out of 100, you’ll get Kornel by pull 20 (5,200 gems)
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get Kornel by pull 75 (19,700 gems)
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Kornel by pull 115 (30,100 gems)

Putting that in Perspective

  • 45 out of every 100 people won’t get Kornel by the 20th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :two::zero: times, 446,630 of those players wouldn’t get Kornel * 5 out of every 100 people won’t get Kornel by the 75th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :seven::five: times, 48,675 of those players wouldn’t get Kornel
  • 1 out of every 100 people won’t get Kornel by the 115th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :one::one::five: times, 9,710 of those players wouldn’t get Kornel

Just tried out my +18 Kornel for the first time against a 10* Gorgon Queen. He can withstand at least 1 hit though it’s probably better to use a Banner that gives Def Up. My team was Kornel - BT - Falcon - Khagan - Yang Mai

So far hits of 46K, 55K (these 2 with timestops and dragon banners), 42K, 39K, 18K, 77K (last 4 attacks using just Turtle Banners). Keep forgetting to wait until the 2nd charge to fire him though :stuck_out_tongue:

Great! Thanks for sharing, I’m a strong supporter that we need to show our good (and sometimes great results) with those “weaker” heroes, not only with the creme de la creme of 5* :slight_smile:

Used tornados instead of Dragon Banner, and I used Wu Kong for the first one

Switched in Yang Mai for the 2nd hit. Thinking about it, probably better to switch her position with Kornel. He needs Khagan’s mana and def boost more.

Edit 2 : This is my Kornel. Out of Druid emblems for the last 2 nodes

Cool fight! At the moment I am still leveling heroes for wars, but I am looking forward for when I will be able to focus on niche titan (& tournaments) heroes.

I’ll also be using him for Challenge Events since I don’t have Wilbur. Definitely Epic, and maybe even Legendary

The name of the Special Skill for Kornel in the Op is wrong. That’s the one for Dolgoon and even there it should just be “Voluminous Vigor” without the “Stalling” at the front.
Kornel’s special skill is “Imaginary Increments”

I have copied the skill from there to here.
Now I have fixed it here and there too.

It’s been about a month and I have found no use for Kornel (I have Wilbur). I thought maybe I’d use him in the last 3* buff booster tourney but even at 20E he just didn’t hold up. His buff feels like its 1 turn too short. Maybe useful in events but blue is the meta color.

Not worth keeping the emblems and definitely won’t be spending any aethers on either.

Just pulled Kornel. Some time passed since his debut, so I guess people now have an experience with him. Is Kornel worth time? Should I max him?

I have him max since last tower and not really impressed. He reads nice but in reality I’m struggling to use him effective.

He’s 3* so the places he gets used are somewhat limited to tournaments and rare events for me.

In more detail:

  • rush tournament, useless because of his charge effect, most S1 heroes work better.

  • no heal tournament, not my first choice, yes his first special is very fast but for no heal I prefer damage and no only status effect heroes, most of the time it’s over really fast with 3*

  • buff booster, somewhat usable here, again there are more useful heroes I take before, moonhawk c for example is also red, also gives atk+ but also Hot and therefore one more buff and I don’t have to take another healer with me.

  • events. I’m also struggling here, first red is not my preferred color, whenever blue is halfway possible I use that, Gunnar c + nordri is just too good. When blue is not useful try green if you have dölgöön from this event. Far better event hero with def down and element link like Gunnar c.
    Kornel doesn’t make damage, so I could either use moonhawk as passive with similar effects and also heal or even mono namahage for the same atk+ effect and direct damage.
    His def down is only for nearby heroes which is a problem when the middle opponent is already dead.

So I lvled him because I don’t have something else to work, but I don’t really use him. Only during buff booster tournaments I see some value, although he is probably not needed there too. Not sure maybe someone else is more positive about him.

Hey guys,

I come here to give my feedback on Kornel and to be honest this is something I just realized a couple of minutes ago. In summary I can say that I FEEL DUMB KEEPING WILBUR IN MY NATURE TITAN TEAM BESIDES PULLING KORNEL SINCE FIRST RELEASE.

His impact on titan is definitely higher. First, he starts with -48% (in contrary to the card mentioning -44%) and the progression caps at -68%. That leaves Wilbur really behind. The only issue is that you need to reach charge 2 to do that but the fun thing is with +11% you can charge him faster than Wilbur (just 9 tiles) so that’s not a problem at the end.

I will definitely bench WIlbur while attacking Baba Yaga next time.

Thanks for mentioning this. I have put him on the backburner and didn’t really read his card. Given his ability, I’ll probably level him up quickly and put him on my titan team.
