 Did you need to use a lot of items this time on Trials of Fortitude?

(hat tip to @JAWS_3D for this question)

  • Yeah, I nuked the bosses from space. Ripley would approve.
  • I used some items to finish off the bosses, but it wasn’t the full arsenal
  • I used support items like mana, banners, healing, and maybe a battle item or two, but nothing too crazy
  • I just used some minor items, like healing, mana, or antidotes
  • I didn’t use any items

:dizzy: Special Questions for Trials of Fortitude

  • The Cleric and Druid Classes skew heavily toward healers — unlike some of the Trials, there are many to choose from. Did you bring any healers along?

  • While having healer options is nice, the Cleric and Druid Classes are quite light on hitters. Did you find it hard to build a team with sufficient offensive power?

  • Cleric Boril can be effective for killing boss Horghall by getting him to suicide on Boril’s riposte. Did you bring Boril along, and if so, did you find that an effective tactic?

:grey_question: Standard Questions for All Trials

  • Did your team change notably since last time?
  • Have Costumes caused changes to your team?
  • Did changes to your team make the Trials any easier or harder?
  • What items did you use, if any?
  • What are you doing with your shiny new Emblems?
  • If you beat Stage 3, who’s eating the 3* Trainer Hero?
  • Anything else interesting to share?

Not expecting any real trouble with this one.

Will probably rock a 3-2 again:
White Rabbit+9, Vivica+0, Melendor+19, Hansel+1, Hansel+0

Other options… Freya 3.70, Snow White 3.70, Gadeirus+0, Sonya costume, Rigard+6.

right, not one of my better outings. my only fully ascended 4* or 5* Cleric is Rigard, with Lady Woolerton on the way.

Melendor + Rigard for double heal, and dispel and cleanse. Gadeirus for attack boost and HoT, Caed for extra dispel and Lepus to hit things really really really hard (and only other Druid option is costumed Sonya).

was attempting to do this with no items, having two of the best healers on my team. but through my own carelessness, lost Mel and Rigard early in the boss round. in my defense, was up late drinking with the boyfriend while playing online games with friends. yes, I do have friends!

didn’t want to lose the world energy, so I used a bunch of battle items. killed Boril (already weakened).

finished off Vivica with tiles and specials.

and after a fairly long cycle of ghosting tiles / firing specials to avoid Horghall’s special , finally won

Cleric emblems being saved for Lady Woolerton.

Druid… Mel and Caed are +9, so might save up for Lepus, currently +4.

Trainer to dupe Caedmon. I’m also leveling Elkanen, but will NOT ascend (Kadilen gets the tonics over Elky when I do get them, but she’s at 3/70 now).

2x Hansel + Mist + Caedmon + Melendor

3500 ish Team Power.
I used 1 Bomb Attack and a few Minor Mana because at one point, I had no green on the board and all 3 bosses almost had their specials.

My Rigard were both in costume so they didn’t show in my available heroes, so I forgot they were allowed.

Anyway, no heroes died and I finished fine

Team last time

This time I swapped Caedmon out for 4/50 Mist to try her her out. She did die in the final fight, and that fight did drag on a little too long, but she aced the first two fights and looks like a nice add. I’ll try to rethink the team for more punch next time.
I revived Mist after her death since she was nice to shutdown Boril/Brienne, and the next two raids I did filled my raid chest giving me a replacement miracle scroll, so that worked out.

Emblems saved for now, trainer went to Brynhilde taking her up to 3/52.

Same team as the last time

The battle went smoothly without the need of item, although at a point Hansel died from slash, but the following turn Aby revived him;, The Hatter stole Boril reposte, Horghall eventually committed suicide on it.

Emblems and trainer saved for now.

This one is pretty easy for me:

Melendor +11 / Boril / Caedmon +20 / Gadeirus / Mist +18

Despite only 3600 TP, this team made short work of the trials. Used one antidote, two healing potions, one mana potion.

Cleric Emblems for Lady Woolerton / Druid emblems banked / Trainer for Telluria (4/77!)

That was the first time I did not have to use any items (thanks to Mist and a nice board).

MN is now at +18 so I can start giving emblems to costumed Rigard from now on.

Finished it without lots of trouble with:

Rigard 3/70 - Mist+8 - Vela+13 - Hansel - Caedmon

Used a few arrows and small health and antidote flasks, also for one of the daily quests for the Path of valor.

Trainer Hero goes to my dear friend The Hatter

Emblems saved for Vela and The Hatter (I think)

The first time ever I [took advantage] - I looked in the forum, who will be the final bosses. Becsuse Boril showed up, I benched Vela4/51 and Rigard+20 and took in Melendor+7 and Caedmon4/58. I also used Horghall+4, Grazul+4 and Elkanen4/64. All heroes fully loaded, when the bosses showed up. Gimli went down first, but the no green tiles showed up. Because I already had fought Vivica for many (annoying) times, I gave them hell. 5 dragon storms, 5 bombs, concentrates on Vivica, and without healing Horghall gave up, too. Emblems saved for Vela and Elkanen - I still want to have many emblemed heroes over only a few super heroes for wartime. Trainer went to Elkanen, now 4/66.

Used some items for daily PoV.
Trainer rammed into Malo.
Vela went +10, clericals saved.
Sadly no reset token.

Zim, Vela, Kadilen, Viv and MN.
One of the more time consuming trials but not too difficult.

What am I missing? I am only allowed to bring costumed Lianna and non-costumed Rigard.

Ran into some board problems in the final stage so I had to use a few items but it’s all good, worth it for those emblems!
