🧪 Early information on the December 2021 HOTM -- Hanitra

NOTE: Please do not, under any circumstances, share IMAGES OR VIDEOS from Beta in this or any public Forum thread. Violations can cause players to lose their Beta accounts, or threads to be closed down.

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the December 2021 HOTM, Hanitra._

All Information from Beta is Subject to Change!

Don’t get attached

Details from beta, especially brand-new beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual hero release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes are changed during beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to stats to be made.

Or: How many summons are needed to get a HOTM?

Special thanks to @Garanwyn for assistance on summoning odds and proofreading for this section.

It’s important to remember that HOTM have very low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a HOTM.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 12.3% chance of summoning the HOTM.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 73 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 100
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 229
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 352

Putting that in Perspective

  • 27 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 100th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 100 times, 270,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 229th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 229 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

Ability is slightly different than c-Kad’s, does this mean they would stack? That would be crazy…
Or do they just overwrite? Is this tested in beta?

something for those of us who can’t get Costume Kad! I really hope they don’t stack but it wouldn’t surprise me if they do, C-Kad Stacks with Margaret and other dodge abilities.

Max health reduction resist is kinda situational though. How many relevant heroes outside of alfrike has it? And also probably an alfrike counter by the looks of it

Love the heal with dodge. Will be nice timing to for using ehts at Xmas event.

So basically an hero designed to almost directly counter Alfrike. I like it.

Dodge is great. Fast speed is great. But what’s the threat here? Is Hanitra going to be limited to an offensive support hero? Without the damage, the urgency isn’t there.

will this one become the reuben of 2021 ?
its obviously designed to counter alfrike, but cant see any use out of this

reuben was designed to counter the TGV meta last year and we know how it ended up…
december HOTM are usually very niche use and meeeh because people saving tokens for christmas so scam giants dont want a good hotm being pulled by everyone

I think I’d use her on defence too, but mainly OS. Not too worried about the lack of damage, ckad is negligible form a damage standpoint anyway.

Nah, she’s never going to be irrelevant. Dodge is always a useful effect to have. And players who don’t have c kad can have her as an alternative

She’s a dodge/healer. If she did damage too that would be completely OP. Not many healers I can think of actually do damage, emilio is about the only one I can think of and he does no direct damage only a moderate burn.

Nice now I want see all people with alfrike who are happy and hope for Russell to counter my C Kadilen!

Love the hotm, VF wars are pain now

Telluria, Nadezda (burn) and Marie-Therese. So, IDK which other healers do damage.

If she did damage she’d be similar to C.Kad. Heal and Minion are essentially the same.

My main concern is if she’s too strong as hotm. Will we see another tellygate because everyone will be using her.

I forgot about Tell and for Nathesda her first option is the one that does damage, and it is a very weak burn at that. I think I can count on one hand the number of Marie-Therese I’ve seen in the wild. But good call on the other healers that do damage!

Anzogh also… Then there quite many damage dealers who heal individiually.

She is crap on def so not gonna happen, all the good heroes for attack are OP and stay like this forever because nobody cry for a nerf.

Anzogh is not a healer, he is a DD with heal bonus. I count only flat heals or HoT.

Anton also.

I don’t know. KadilenC’s dodge is very annoying. So this HOTM could potentially be a huge problem.
