:dizzy: Epic Hero Tokens Can Be Used for Seasonal Summoning

The Seasonal Summons replaces the regular Epic Hero Summons.

Because of that, unlike Challenge Event Summons, the Summoning Portal for Seasonal Events allows using saved up Epic Hero Tokens that can otherwise normally only be used for Epic Hero Summons.

That makes Seasonal Events the only place you can currently use Epic Hero Tokens for a chance at non-Season 1 heroes.

You’ll also have the same chance at the HOTM as usual when using Epic Hero Tokens.

No new 4* and no new costumes for 4* and 3* (haven’t checked 5*)?

Well that’s disappointing, especially Valeria and vlad are just sooo extremely useless nowadays…

I forgot about saving pulls until October, but I only had 2 EHTs and I’m glad I pulled today since I got Edwin with the first EHT. :dancer:

New to me, on my 7th EHT. Happy about it as I think he’s still quite useful

My only problem is that I won’t have rings for a while as Carmenta is at the top of my reds, but I can still get him to 3/70 and use for events, etc…

I used my tokens today, I got all the 4* and 3* and my Fated Summons counter rose by 40.

After a slew of Areaxes (14 to be exact) in September, I kept my EHTs only to pull for Halloween heroes when a new HoTM would be featured.

After almost 70 pulls of nothing (the first thirty at Dunes, the rest in Morlovia), I get four Uthragans in another 11 pulls. And no 5* heroes from Halloween up to this point.

As I already have Alucard, I only hope to get Edwin, the more useful new hero. Amber, not being featured and probably not as game-changing, was not a priority, and I would not mind getting Lucinda (but I would still press on and try to get Edwin as well in this case). I am also missing most of the other older Halloween heroes (I only have base Victor and costumed Francine), so any new hero would be a win for me.

Alas, I faced a dilemma when I got Horghall at EHT no. 69. Do I press on and pull some more today, or save the EHTs and pull another day when RNG might be kinder to me?

Having made up my mind that I could afford to spend 100 EHTs, I pressed on. Luckily for me, I ran into a more favourable streak, because I then drew Alucard just 4 pulls later. Again, there was a dilemma: have I exhausted my luck already, and I would thus have no more 5* coming my way even if I spend another 30 EHTs? But I decided to go on, and was rewarded with Edwin at EHT no. 82. Alright, I have met my target, and will save the rest of the EHTs for Christmas!

So, final tally for Halloween from 82 EHTs: Edwin (new!), Alucard (dupe), Horghall, and 4x Uthragan (first one is new). A bit rough-going compared to some other lucky players here, but I was quite satisfied with getting Edwin regardless, especially since I have no clear Green project in sight, and Edwin will probably be my next Green project (Väinämöinen being my other choice).

Decided to buy all those 5x 8 EHT offers in the game.
40 Pulls got me a lot of Frank, a few Goopy and 2x Ana-Belle, 2x Vlad, and then all S1 junk

That plus 36 pulls in Tavern of Legends = it’s not my day :rofl:

I really gotta share this win somewhere on here…

So as always, here comes a story :upside_down_face:

Backstory

So, despite this year treating me much better than the last several [for summons], the last three odd months I’ve had rotten luck. I’ve been below average, and when I do pull something, it’s either a S1, a dupe, or a hero you don’t want :pensive:. So suffice to say, I was back to hating the game, keeping my distance, accordingly lol

& Speaking of said rotten luck, the last seasonal event: Legends of Kalevala, was a prime example. Both last year and this, surpassing 300 pulls in this portal total, just for the hint of one single Kalevala 5*. It wasn’t until the final week, when I pulled a single C. Aino at the very end. Then Beach Party prior, throwing all EHT I had saved, just for three Flips and no other hero. So while the year started off well [in seasonals], lately they hadn’t been as good to me.

Now

Then comes Morlovia, and those offered here seemed much less intriguing [to me]. Thankfully, they swapped Edwin and Amber last minute, otherwise I might not have even bothered, as Edwin was the only new one I figured was worth a damn. That, and obvi featuring the best of the last year crew: Alucard (whom I chased like a mad woman last year, buying every EHT up for sale - over 150 pulls - and nothing to show besides a C. Vanda).

Amber, despite being the color I always need in, is of no interest. & Lucinda? I find too slow and uninspired. I’d honestly prefer to pull Matilda over those two, to be frank. I’m also missing M&M and a costume for Victor (pulled Francine costume + Victor the year before last). So with 7 of the 9 5* being new, least odds were good I’d walk away with something.

… but something I’d be happy with?!

My experience in this portal started with six pulls saved from earning on the event prior + day 3’s offer of 8 EHT for $5 (x5). Over halfway thru my first 46 pulls in this portal, out pops:

I was already crabby, as my Musketeers, Covenant, Masked Gods, Atlantis, Goblin, Untold Tales, S5 and Elemental summons were all :poop:, so to finally break free of a drought for a hero I didn’t want felt like a punch to the gut.

Then, a week goes by, and while considering saving for BF, I instead made a split-second decision [out of frustration] to throw my ten-pull worth of gems away at the Pickup Summons. Lo and behold, the :poop: for a portal wasn’t a total waste, and gave me a hero I’d always dreamt of pulling:

… but while I was ecstatic in the moment, that excitement quickly dissipated, realizing that the prize I once longed for is now two years old, possibly outshined by my other newly acquired red 5* this year (Cupido and Hohenwerf). But hey, least it was a win… something I was sorely lacking previously

Then, yesterday came the second iteration of the '8 EHT for $5" and I couldn’t pass up a shot to try for my beloved Alucard again. Sure, it’s been a year, but his utility is still useful to this day. All of my Tavern pulls were also :poop:, but hoping yesterday’s luck may mean something more, I gave it a go:

Then I took my sweet ■■■ time filling an Ice chest I had. Once I did, I received my first alpha aether from one of those! Thought, “well, neat” and went on to see if I could continue this luck. My HA10 was done, and sure enough, out pops a costume S1.

Unfortunately, he’s a dupe, as my HA10 gave me this very costume about a year and a half ago, but hey, still a win. & This was the second time in a row that I’d gotten a costume from HA10 right after getting good loot from somewhere else in the game. Coincidence? Idk.

So then I go for my remaining ToL coins (they sucked) and second set of 8 EHT. Five pulls into the latter, and sure enough:

To say I was ecstatic would be putting it mildly! I was over the freaking moon. After all my pain and suffering last year, I’m finally vindicated, and receive my beloved fire 5* I’d always longed for right after receiving another I’d always longed for :sweat_smile:

… but sure enough, I still had 3 EHT left of the 8, and whilst a sensible person may save em for the next seasonal, I was tempted to see what they could be. So I continued on, and on the very last freaking one… :

My first bout of actual luck in three months. I know these moments are few and far between, but man, when they do occur… What magic they can bring :heart_eyes::sparkling_heart:

Just bought POV so had 4x EHT, and got Edwin!
Then in the Untold Tales bonus chest I got a much needed tome of tactics, how perfect was that!!!

Got a tonic from MV followed by a 3* from regular daily summon so decided to toss in my EHTs…

Burned 64 EHTs for a Lucinda (I mean… really? Why not Edwin or Alucard…), a Richard and a HoTM… Still no Ana-Belle.

Seasonal portal continues to be the worst portal for me… Sigh
