Avoiding Overspending & Heartache
Or: How many summons are needed to get a Seasonal Event Legendary Hero?
It’s important to remember that Seasonal Event Heroes have extremely low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Seasonal Hero.
On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 4.9% chance of summoning a particular Seasonal Legendary Hero.
But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.
Some useful insights:
39 times out of 100, you’ll get a specific Seasonal Legendary Hero by pull 100
95 times out of 100, you’ll get a specific Seasonal Legendary Hero by pull 598
99 times out of 100, you’ll get a specific Seasonal Legendary Hero by pull 919
Putting that in Perspective
61 out of every 100 people won’t get a specific Seasonal Legendary Hero by the 100th pull
If 1 Million players each summoned 100 times, 610,000 of those players wouldn’t get the specific Seasonal Legendary Hero
5 out of every 100 people won’t get the specific Seasonal Legendary Hero by the 598th pull
If 1 Million players each summoned 598 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get the specific Seasonal Legendary Hero

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:
If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.
I found his very fast defense buff his most valuable ss.
Pulled him off a token as my very first 5* nearly two years ago. Back then, the only other vf 5* was GM (iirc).
People who have used Freya can appreciate the fast defense buff, imagine it being very fast.
He was my go to vs Kunchen tanks, to overwrite the defense down and steal heal, making it easier to kill kunchen. Also great vs Guin tanks until Seshat.
And being very fast speed, it was really great to use lvl 11 troops to charge on 6 tiles, while using my higher lvl troops for main dark sniper because who doesn’t stack?
He also becomes increasingly stronger the less heroes are on the board. Similar to Tyr in single handedly killing off 2-3 opponent heroes solo from my experience.
Charges every turn on ghost tiles, heal himself and pretty durable with his defense buff.
Always felt like he was under appreciated, granted there are so many great dark heroes but I’ve never regretted giving him tabards.
Got him from 3 EHT year ago. He was my second dark 5* after Sartana. Used him since I got him fully ascended until I got Kage few months ago. Now I don’t use him, since purple is by far my strongest color (I have him, aforementioned Sartana and Kage, Clarissa, Ursena and Marie-Thérèse fully ascended, and currently Seshat and Zulag are waiting for tabards. Also have rest of purple 5* from S1, not they will get tabards anytime soon), but I still give him emblems. His defense buff can save a lot of damage, and is essentially an answer to Kunchen, just only problem is when to fire him (before Kunchen and you steal healing, but firing after negates his defense debuff). Overall I find him a bit underrated, because many say he sucks just because he is not that good at defense.
I can see Victor on my purple mono. I currently have cRigard +18, Ursena +18, cSartana +19, Clarissa, cSartana (dupe)
I’m envisioning a nice synergy with Clarissa. They are both very Fast. Level 11 troops you can fire in 6 tiles. Clarissa has a 30% defense against special skills and Victor provides 30% defense buff on all damage. That’s really really nice at very fast speed. And it allows your mono purple to bide time to accumulate tiles
Does Victor’s DoT increase with attack emblems like Gravemaker or no? I’m trying to consider his best emblem path. Probably attack, but he is squishy and his skill makes defense increase even more
I don’t have many purples myself, but i really apreciate Victor and gladly use him.
Not as much as Rigard but… for me he is a worthy hero both for attack and defence.
As already said, probably the best feature is his defence buff at very fast speed, which help other heroes survive in defence.
Probably in wings position, he is about same good as Kage or Seshat.
In attack he undoubtely have less punch of those 2 and no dispel, but once again his defence buff and high durability from stealing heal make up for that.
Everyone keeps talking about Vanda and Francine but nobody really talks about victor now which is a shame.
He got two crucial buffs this time. The first one being an increase of DOT damage. The second one with the family bonus which he and Frank benefit the most out of. 12% extra mana would make him so fast he’ll keep firing. This means more DOT output and the constant Def boost. Really powerful stuff coming from him
In May 2020 his direct damage was increased by 20% for his skill. His DoT stayed the same.
True. The family bonus is new stuff. To gain those 12% you need 3 Morlovia heroes in the same team. I could do Victor - Valeria - Frank. Very fast heroes need 9% to load in 6 tiles (instead of 7)…so you could run Victor and Valeria even without mana troops to make them load in 6 tiles. Victor & Valeria will profit the most from that bonus.
I would go 100% attack path. Being very fast you want Victor inflicting as much damage as possible every time he goes off. His healing steal can add survivability especially if his special is active on multiple targets when a heal happens and the def boost adds to that survivability. Going attack path still gives some HP and Defense nodes while adding most to his attack stat which determines DoT, and you want as much DoT as possible on top of the initial hit by his special. His special already adds survivability so attack should be a priority.
