Image Aether Power Description
special-boost Special Boost At the start of each turn, this Hero’s Special Skill deals an additional +30% damage for 6 turns.
In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.
:hourglass: Ability: Steal Buff
When this character casts their Special Skill, they have a 50% chance to steal the newest dispellable buff from a random enemy that has buffs. If no enemy has buffs, deals 70% damage to all enemies.
:dizzy: Special Skill: Stalling Undead Obliterator
  • Deals 170% damage to all enemies
  • The damage is increased by 45% per each dead enemy.
  • Stack (Max 10)>: All Enemies receive 20 Frost damage per each killed enemy or enemy Minion at the end of each turn.
  • Stack (Max 10): All enemies get -4% mana generation per each killed enemy or enemy Minion.

I don’t have Skadi and I will probably never get her.
I really hope that I will get him for some minion hunting.

Saved some coins and he is my primary target this Halloween.
I really hope to get him, and if I get super lucky and get some dupes even better.

I already have skadi and don’t think I will get a second, but Frank is realistic. Just for minion wars I would level every dupe I get. This skill is ridiculous strong with skadi and although toned down for frank I’m sure he will be devastating in those wars.

Skadi barely killed minions with help from C Kiril until I maxed her with emblems. I don’t think C Frank will easily be killing any minions…many will be disappointed hitting Bera immediately after she fires and seeing zero minions killed. Original Frank is way better than his costume IMO.

Yeap, even with defence down, skadi cannot touch noor’s sparrow at full health. I can’t imagine c Frank even doing anything

There are Anastasia, Telluria, Frosth and Motega against whom he’ll work.Yes, they don’t appear so much in top defenses, but then again usually people don’t take 4* against top defenses.

I think I have all seasonal event 4* except Frank. I wasn’t able to get him last year, and I’d like to get him to complete my collection.

To be honest, I’m not sure where I’d use him outside of raid tournaments, and possibly challenge events.

Even though seasonal events are held once a year, I’m not fussed if I miss out on him again. Some heroes are worth chasing more than others. I mostly chase 4* and 3* challenge event heroes in my way.

Yes he won’t work against bera or freya minions and for sure not against noor.
So for pvp he is probably not the best choice in most cases.

But for war we have minion war, with super weak minions. And we have rush, where he becomes much faster and there are other minions, hotm element link, druid, some weaker minion summoners. You don’t have to kill always 5 at once and especially during rush you should be able to soften even some sturdier minions before using frank.

So 2 out of 5 war rules he should work really good and in the other wars he should work just fine against some teams. For me that’s enough to level him, also he is just a 4* so there isn’t a mats problem unlike with 5* heroes.

I may max him instead of sonya… although frank doesnt dispell but is a costume one. I feel like having a pseudo 5 star with him is that right?

For my frank he gets 12% mana gen + 11% from mana troop + 1% costume bonus. So it’s +24% for a slow hero, how fast would he be now?

Will it not depend who you pair him with?
I haven’t maxed mine yet but took him on a PvP raid against Bera with c.Kiril and Krampus and he killed all the minions.
I am lucky to have Krampus but in a 3-2 c.rigard or BT would work no?

Of course, but he can’t kill those minions on his own.
If you pair him with a good def down and atk+ he should be able to kill most minions.

But you need all those heroes alive and ready to fire when frank also fires. With skadi you can kill most minions also without help, although kiril c is just the perfect partner because they have the same speed and with the def down you kill all minions with guarantee, with luck even 2 layers.

If you loose one of your support heroes for frank, he probably won’t perform as good.

I think isarnia could be a good partner for him. Same speed and isa shouldn’t kill those sturdy minions and give high def down allowing maybe frank to kill 2 layers. But that should test someone who got luckier than me :cry:

I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know how the family bonus will work now? If I bring a normal Frank together with the Costumed version, will I get the family bonus?

Why?

His attack is 655 vs Skadi vs attack 696. He will obviously need to be emblemed but I think with Kiril C down that will be enough in most circumstances (Skadi also doesn’t work well against Freya/Bera if she is unemblemed). In the off chance that it is not then LBing him will make him exceed Skadi.

His main problem is that he is slow mana speed. That’s a bummer. A big one. And to kill the big minions I think people will HAVE to limit break this guy or it just won’t work. Skadi required being emblemed to max her attack for it to work with C Kiril for me. And she’s still hard to charge and fire at the right time. Maybe people can bring Vela and soften the minions up first? Possible…but again, timing is tough.

40 less attack and 50% less from special skill should make a difference.
You have to give him emblems, a high attack troop and probably limit break him and he probably still needs support.

Nothing wrong with that, most heroes don’t work on their own.

It’s just that skadi has some natural partners, and even if they die, with a high troop and emblems she can often kill those minions on her own. I’m pretty sure frank can’t do that, he needs his support and if they die he gets into trouble.

Still the best 4* hero from seasonal events in my mind. (Maybe the sheep from Easter somewhere close, but that depends if you want a healer or damage deale). The rest doesn’t come near frank.
I would even say, with his costume he is probably in the 4* A league overall…
