Or: How many summons are needed to get a Legendary Challenge Event Hero?

It’s important to remember that Challenge Event Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Challenge Event Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 2% chance of summoning Puss in Boots.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 18 times out of 100, you’ll get Puss in Boots by pull 100
  • 63 times out of 100, you’ll get Puss in Boots by pull 500
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get Puss in Boots by pull 1500
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Puss in Boots by pull 2300

Putting that in Perspective

  • 82 out of every 100 people won’t get Puss in Boots by the 100th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :one::zero::zero: times, 820,000 of those players wouldn’t get Puss in Boots

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get Puss in Boots by the 1500th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :one::five::zero::zero: times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get Puss in Boots

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these three threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

If on his turn he enables every heroe to case their minions…
So is it like extra minions force as another minion casting heroes will cast even more when is their turn, right?

Yes, if PiB cast, and there is minion summoner, ex: Buddy, Buddy will add 1x minion to self. 3 caps maximum minion is still occur though.

This is really good news for Skadi, Noor, Grimble etc.

How good is he? I have some minion heroes like Bera, Devana, Frosth, Pengi, Seshat, (Lady of the lake 1/1)… but I’m not sure if I should ascend him, because they are of different colours. If I had QoH I will but without her I’m not sure if he’s worth the rings.
My red healers are boldtusk and garnet (grazul 1/1).
Anybody is using him? In which teams?

He’s next up in my queue of heroes I am thinking of levelling and wondering the same… position wise on defense I am thinking left flank or left wing to be irritating? (Have purple squid tank)

I finally used rings on him and I like using him with bera and penguis for super minions team, funny hehe

Just follow defense/health for Puss, right?

I have him (was my first 5*) but just don’t have the right minion summoners to pair him with (those that summon strong minions like Seshat and Devana). He is waiting limit broken but unemblemed. When I get the right allies I will max him immediately and will build a monstrous minion attack team to face defenses without anti-minion defenders.

So, is this guy useful for anything in todays game?

He is old but one of the few red 5* healers out there. The 3 minions are also good, they serve as meat shield - may become a good combo with new OP minion summoners for that bonus minion summon. Setback would be the new anti minions and as mentioned he is old.

Those who pull him now with costume will get him with that insane stat boost, which is putting him back into relevance. And with certain combos, such as summoner W3K (Diaochan, Liu Bei …) he can be pretty dangerous now. That is kinda true for the rest of Costumed heroes from CFI.
