The Tavern of Legends Quest is special one, a bit different than any existing quests — it has a Special Rule:

Hero Roster Mastery
Each Hero can only be used once during this quest.

Heroes are considered used when you start a quest battle. The battles will get increasingly difficult, so plan your Teams carefully!

NOTE: This includes if you fail a Stage. So if you need to retry a Stage, you’ll have to select new Heroes for your Attack Team.

Below Maths is current as of October 2020 portal.
Subject to change as additional heroes are added to the Portal.

It’s important to remember that the Tavern of Legends Portal has the lowest odds for a specific hero of ANY portal… No amount of summoning will guarantee a desired Hero.

This table shows the cumulative probability of different Summon events, based on a total number of Summons (1x, 10x, 30x, 100x, 500x, 1500x, 2500x, 5000x & 10000x). Based on 10,000 gems costing 99.99 USD, I have also added an approximate $ cost too.

Please note that NO occurrence is ever actually 100%; the 100% entries in the table below indicate cumulative probabilities sufficiently close to 100% that they are expressed as such for simplicity. All other numbers are rounded to the nearest 0.1%.

You have a 0.25% chance of summoning a specific FEATURED Past HotM from the Tavern of Legends Portal. For a NON-FEATURED Past HotM it is just 0.036% chance.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 2.83% chance of summoning a particular Past HotM (2.47% for a specific featured and 0.36% for a specific Non-Featured).

On Average, in a 10-pull you have a 17.46% chance of summoning ANY past HotM.

My luck I’ll pull another Telly, though I’d love to get JF - he was the HOTM when I joined the game and I didn’t know anything about it yet so I didn’t go for him back then. I got Telly as my first 5* and I’ve managed to get at least one of every HOTM since. The OCD collector in me doesn’t want to break the streak lol

I have JF but wouldn’t mind Telluria. Depends on other two featured heroes though, if there will Greogorion and Natalya, hard pass. Hoping for Alby/Athena.

Finished chapter one with 1/1 4* and 1/2 Reuben. Got a free pull. Gunnar. As expected.

I had 400 tokens saved up - Karil, Valen, Renfeld, Wukong.
Yet to get a 5* from Tavern. Must be 6 months since my last new 5*. smh.

Finished second stage with two 1/1 Kasshreks, a Gunnar and Bane fully leveled and a Grevle 1/1.

0 items used so far.

Hopefully won’t be needing those Gunnar and Bane.

Edit: Now I feel bad for eating my fully ascended Layla and Needler…

Edit: Chapter 3 team: cValen, cValen, Graymane, 1/1 Jarvur, 1/26 Gan Ju. Used 5 Axes, 3 bombs and 7 minor mana potions.

Edit: Brought my yellows at stage 4, seeing how they will probably become less useful. 3*cBane, one cDawa and one Melia held their own with the help of arrows axes and bombs. Dawa is okay-ish. Special not amazing, not significant extra damage against dark (Thoth-Amun).

Edit: Stage 5 team - last cValen, cTyrum and his twin brother, Renfeld, Balthazar.
Very hard to make it to the bosses, almost no purple tiles, and there I had to use heavy bombing, including dragon attacks.

My roster is just too poor, am trying to save my few 4* for the highest stage possible. Probably won’t make it to the top. I don’t even have 50 total 3* and above leveled yet. But will try to make it to stage 8 at least.

I finally got my first 5* from the Legends portal today: Richard. I already have a couple of “Big Riches”, so my roster is turning into a real

I also got my 4th Boldtusk.

I am going to buy the last day offer for 30x single pulls and try for Athena. Chance is very small but we’ll see how it goes…

Easy.
I forgot TOL was using heroes once each. Very first stage I used my gest cRigard, Tiburtus, lianna, Evelyn and clarissa haha.

Always keep in mind: you can also get a vanilla 5* from the portal. Been there, done that. fml.
