🧪 Early Information on Round 3 of Challenge Festival (Additional Bard) Heroes [Part of The Beta Beat v52]

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the initial release of additional Bard heroes for Challenge Festival 2.


Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

  • All allies are immune to buff dispels for 4 tums.

  • Deals 330% damage to the target.
  • Alter the power of all Ice shields on the board. When an attacking Hero casts the special, the shields become enchance and give +37% more mana. When a defending Hero casts the special, the shields become weakened and give -30% less mana.

Geez man. Every week now it seems more OP heroes are released. You don’t even have time to max them before new OP heroes come out. What’s OP today seems like mediocre by tomorrow.

These heroes are sick. Ogima will be the best minion destroyer in the game. If there are 10 minions on the board, that’s 500% damage to all enemies.

Fast mana speed, destroy all minions, 250% damage to all. Strong enough at this point, plus additional damage per minion destroyed?
Thank god it looks like Alucard won’t be nerfed.

This point going forward, it doesnt look like they will nerf any incoming heroes when they get released. They’re just gonna ramp up the specials.

To me, this kind of thing is gonna keep the whales and casual players around but those who are somewhat competitive are gonna be left with the choice of spend or leave. Thats where I’m at and have really pulled back on the spending a ton. I have a feeling theres gonna be a lot of people who end up maxing out some credit cards on this game alone

Ogima is just stupid OP… She’s gonna be:

  1. Destroy current W3K meta and horde wars
  2. Nerf after chasing because “too strong”

At least skadi you need to work for your stacks, ogima is like a win button against minion teams. No one will be fielding Chinese heroes or any summoner on defence anymore

Can the Devs stop creating minion killing heroes. This guy is going to destroy the credibility of summoners on defence.

So people complain that W3K heroes is going to be the new meta so they call for a nerf. SGG release a hero to deal with them and people complain again. I guess there really is no satisfying people.

It’s not as simple as this hero destroying an entire meta, other heroes are affected by this. Why use skadi when this hero can 10 stack with a press of a button? Tons of minion killers saturating the roster and there is barely any minion support.

Assuming that one has Skadi to begin with. If your argument is that the new hero is going to supplant the old ones, well that has been the case for a long time. As for people who don’t get this new hero, it helps them out if people having summoner defenses think twice about using that as the new meta.

Not at all, my point for skadi is that she needs to work to be a minion killer, you need to build an entire team around skadi for her to even function as a minion killer. And even with DDs like C kiril, skadi can barely kill like 3 things on the field nowadays. For what her stacks could do, this is what makes her balanced, something this game is lacking over these years. Then this guy is a handled this role without any difficulty.

I know everyone considers Skadi to be a minion killer, but I never did. She really does an AoE attack that has a secondary effect of adding stacks upon killing. It just helps that minions tend to be weaker than heroes.

Does this mean that status ailments can still be cleansed by passives or minions?

By the way, I won’t be surprised when they introduce more heroes that can get rid of stacks.

Didn’t they just release like 6 of these mother lovers. Why are we getting three more?

So basically if you have Ogima, just dump tiles to the minion summoner and use the skill once each opponent has 3 minions. Then you win? Sounds about right.

I think with Ogima, you can just go rainbow against minion summoners. As long Ogima stays alive, you can win.
