In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.

    • 1x Mana Charge:
      • The caster regenerates 411 HP over 3 turns.
      • Cleanses status ailments from the caster.

    • 2x Mana Charge:
      • The caster and nearby allies regenerate 549 HP over 3 turns.
      • Cleanses status ailments from the caster and nearby allies.

    • 3x Mana Charge:
      • All allies regenerate 714 HP over 3 turns.
      • Cleanses status ailments from all allies.

Ninja Heroes have a family bonus for unique heroes of the same family.

Ninja Family
Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • 5% / 10% / 15% chance to dodge normal attacks and Special Skills
  • 5% / 10% / 15% chance to counterattack with 60% / 90% / 120% of the damage received

The two effects have individual sequential processing. So one may not trigger while the other might.

Itā€™s important to remember that Challenge Event Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Challenge Event Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 17.5% chance of summoning Shale.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 69 times out of 100, youā€™ll get Shale by pull 20 (5,200 gems)
  • 95 times out of 100, youā€™ll get Shale by pull 156 (46,800 gems)
  • 99 times out of 100, youā€™ll get Shale by pull 240 (62,400 gems)

Putting that in Perspective

  • 31 out of every 100 people wonā€™t get Shale by the 20th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :two::zero: times, 309,196 of those players wouldnā€™t get Shale
  • 5 out of every 100 people wonā€™t get Shale by the 156th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :one::five::zero: times, 56,280 of those players wouldnā€™t get Shale
  • 1 out of every 100 people wonā€™t get Shale by the 240th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :two::four::zero: times, 10,013 of those players wouldnā€™t get Shale

If anyone finds a use for him please let me know.

I wasted mats on him. Heā€™s useless at all. He can be used maybe for farming or tournaments.

I really donā€™t know, but the question ā€œHow do you think Shale is best used?ā€ have only 4 voters. Probably more will vote if there an option ā€œno use at allā€ :woman_shrugging:

Levelled him up long ago when I got him, hoping for a decent red healerā€¦ Well he ainā€™t that. Tough to say what heā€™s meant to be. An unloved child of SG, sick dream of someone who thought they design a well balanced hero while they designed an abomination. Needless to say I stopped using him shortly after that. Probably should have eaten him but thereā€™s still hope in me heā€™ll get his fix when someone competent looks at him.

Poor guy, he doesnā€™t really need all that much to become useful, just make his effect apply to all allies regardless of chargeā€¦ Healing over time isnā€™t anything special after all, heā€™d still be rather mediocre with cleanse being his only advantage over the old Boldtuskā€¦ Nope, it would take 5 minutes of work of a developer to fix this but SG politely refuses.

Just let him heal all team at every level of charge. Thatā€™s it. They donā€™t even need to change anything else. Gimmicky cleansy and healing level can stay.

I think in 4* RT he may have some use with Ametrine and Sapphire. That family bonus is nasty. That way he may be useful tank. But yes, unlike Ametrine and Sapphire heā€™s more niche. Would be much more useful if he would copy Quartzā€™ skill pattern.

I fed 2 copies of him, keeping none.

He is not useless, he has a use. However, his execution of that use is so inferior to the closest counterpart C Rigard that as it stands he is not worth using. If you desperately need a cleansing healer specifically in red (e.g. for cleansing adjacent Noor so she can use her special against Bera) then he can be utilised, sub-optimally.

Of course this is who I pull with my single coin pull, lol. On the other hand, it could just as well have been another Prisca or Dawa, so Iā€™ll take it. Heā€™ll get my feeders from playing map stage.

Shale has been sitting at the bottom of the barrel of red heroes for me to level, but since i donā€™t have any red healers not named Boldtusk, Junaid, or Hawkmoon, i guess with the red Contest of Elements happening some time in the next couple of months, iā€™ll end up levelling him up soon. :man_shrugging:

Besides the release of these total op new Ninjas in the current portal one could have hoped that this fella gets buffed a bit. The rates for getting a Ninja are pretty low already and it is sad that he goes right on the bench when pulled.

Just pulled her. I have about 350 heroes in my roster and I do believe Shale is the worst hero in the game, even if you include Morris. Completely useless for any scenario.

Useful on ninja tower but really, thatā€™s about it. Maybe for the red challenge too if you are short on red healers.

Will search for the balance thread for this hero, but easily, the best I can think of is making the heal AoE on all three levels. Mines has sat at 3/60, though Fire Super Elemental has made me think of maybe maxing him for that.

Can we buff Shale already? This hero isā€¦ Just sad that it even exist. The most obvious idea would be:

  • Special Skill has a different effect when charged with 100% / 200% / 300% mana:

Probably. At this point stats are outdated so the skill has to be good enough to make up for it. Healing all is a start. Priority cleanse would be the other change I need. At least he brings something then. Otherwise the heal seems to come too slow.

If shale does heal all, charges two and three would need to be fixed because I wouldnā€™t hold it
Maybe you could make it overheal too. Or maybe some other buff (defense?) too. Maybe more turns.

I get it that they didnā€™t want to make strong 4* back then, but releasing ā€œpremium tower heroā€ that was worse than S1 3*s was just spit to face
