Domitia or Clarissa?

Hey guys, I could use a hand deciding. I’m waiting on one more man dress (tabard), I’m trying to figure out who to level. I’m free to play, and I get the least tabards so I won’t be leveling another purple any time soon.

I have Domitia (3/70), Clarissa (1/31), Obakan (3/70) and Quintus (2/38 Although I’m thinking I’ll wait on the last two).

I have Kunchen and Sartana fully maxed plus some emblems.

Any thoughts on which to level first?

I have both leveled. Domitia hits like a Mac Truck! If I have a particular yellow hero I need to take out, she is the one I bring to the party! Clarissa is a purple GM. When I’m doing 3-2 or 4-1 raids with purple, she is my date! Thus, I guess I’m saying based upon your style of play either will work. If you are pressing for one or the other, I would say Clarissa will get more play. IMO. Good luck!

If you have a mana troop at 11+ then definitely Clarissa.

I think probably Clarissa anyway - some people throw shade at her, because she isn’t quite so good offensively as GM (not many are!) but her element link when you’re playing mono is actually quite impactful and cannot be dispelled

If you had Dom’s costume then she’d be in the conversation, but I’d say Clarissa otherwise

It could be genuine. Not everything is clear in the game, no need to assume motivations.

This is like asking if raising gravemaker or azlar. If is genuine ok, but Its very hard for me to believe how someone with a minimum understanding of the game can ask this. Go for Clarissa 1000 times out of 1000 times.

While I agree with you, Dom does get some love, and dispels are handy at 5 star.

Sure! Dont get me wrong. Domitia is a fine Sniper. I dont max her because I have Seshat and others got the tabards. But having a heroe like Clarissa for a F2P is a dream and should be a priority if you get her.

There is a search buttom for this type of things…we all know that. Its funny how overprotective is ppl nowadays…becareful you can hurt his feelings…I also can give my opinion and this is it. Use search buttom for this kind of things. Thats why its there.

Based on your roster, none.

I would eventually take Clarissa to 5* 3.70 .

But after you level more purple 4* heroes. You have some very powerful purple 4* heroes.

5x 4* 4.70 heroes require approximately the same food as ‭1.25‬x 5* 4.80 hero.

1x 5* 4.80 hero requires approximately the same food as 3.825‬x 4* 4.70 heroes.

You have great purple 4*, but few are leveled.

You may have a purple 5* hero that better fits you roster once you finish leveling up a good selection of 4* heroes.

Currently I am leveling to 4* 4.70, so I can unlock 4*+1

Sorcerer Sabina

And if I had Cyprian I would add him to the end of the list as all attack grid Paladin Cyprian. But all defense grid Paladin Guardian Falcon would go first for emblems if I ever get either hero.

And if I ever get through all the above 4* purples- Sorcerer Cheshire Cat is rumored to be a 4* purple so Cat would be after Sabina for emblems but I would immediately take him to 4* 3.60 because OMG

So the above is my personal recommendation of purple hero order.

How to level your first 4* team

Level your first rainbow team from 4* tier 1 level 1 ( 4* 1.1 ) to 4* tier 3 level 60 ( 4* 3.60 ). Do not use 3* ascension items, yet.

Any 4* 3.60 hero is better than any 3* 3.50 heroes.

==Leveling your rainbow team to 4* 3.60==

4* 3.60 heroes are the most powerful in the game using only 1*/ 2* ascension items. 1* / 2* ascension items can be farmed on the world map along with recruits, food, iron, XP, ingredients, 1* / 2* troops and 1* / 2* heroes.

Two 4* 3.60 heroes take the same XP as one 4* 4.70. But the 4* 4.70 is not twice as powerful as each 4* 3.60 hero. While two 4* 3.60 heroes are more versatile, and with double color ( see below ) potentially more powerful.

If you level a 4* 3.60 hero to 4* 4.1 you use six 3* ascension items. If you buy them during special offers, this will cost $12+ USD. You can never get these 3* ascension items back.

Save your 3* ascension items, and the hero XP, until you know the game better and can select which heroes are good.

==Use only same color 1* / 2* heroes to level your 4* heroes==

Using matching colors doubles your chance of the hero’s special skill increasing, and gives you a bonus +20% hero XP.

Later you can experiment with off color/ random color leveling of heroes.

Gryphonkit, my wife, reached #30 on the Global Top 100 player list from players revenging against her reaching #58 on the Global Top 100 player list. She screen shot at #58, I logged in to check and screen shot at #30. It did not last.

5* heros are worthless so save your money! 4* Heroes are almost as powerful and cheaper!

Gryphonkit, my wife, raids in high diamond with 5* 4.80 Obakan, 4* 4.70 Hansel and three more purple 4* 4.80 heroes ( her defense team is all 5* heroes).

Recently she was #30 on the Top 100 Global list.

Reflect Damage ability

A lot of players think reflect damage is a defense buff.

Obakan & Cyprian are not defense heroes but attack heroes and I will explain how.

The stronger their opponents- raid, quest bosses, titans- the harder the enemy hits them and the higher their reflect damage.

Since defense stat is non- linear, an ally +10% defense buff is better than an enemy-10% attack debuff. This also means doubling defense has a higher impact than doubling attack. But for a reflect damage hero, lowering its defense stat ( many enemies do this, very common on Season 1 map) results in a substantial increase in incoming AND reflected damage.

Luck, roster and emblems

My advice is usually 2x rainbow 3* 3.50 team
then
3x to 4x rainbow 4* 3.60 team
then
2x to 3x rainbow 4* 4.70 team
then
2x rainbow 5* 3.70 teams
then
using 4* ascension items.

But it depends on your luck, roster, and emblems,

Also, keep in mind that although Kunch and Viv have previously been quite popular, they are quickly falling out of vogue, with a lot of better players stripping Kunchen to emblem Rigard and cRigard.

Kunchen was already frowned upon by quite a few then benched by even more once rigard costume was released

I also love my Rigard 4*+18.

Gryphonkit, my wife, is using her Kunchen less and less.

Many players level multiple Rigard for war. I guess you could also use multiple Rigard for Tavern of Legends.

Notes to me: I think I should ascend Clarissa 1st before Killhare, based on my troop level. Need much time to get troop lvl 23, currently my troop is lvl 15.

Definitely agree with @Gryphonknight here - there’s some excellent 4* heroes still waiting in line… Not least, Rigard.

I’d probably do at least Rigard, Sabina and Tiburtus before giving trap tools to either of the 5* heroes.

When it comes time… Unless there’s other options available, I’d probably lean towards Clarissa (because Sabina will be done and that covers dispel).

Domitia is useful, no doubt, but Clarissa is simply much further along the powercreep timeline.
