Rigard or Tiburtus?

So finally a little better on my dark cards today. I’m currently using Balthazar 3-46 with skill maxed and just obtained another Balthazar, Rigard, and Tiburtus.

Rigard and Tiburtus are pretty close in hero grading. I don’t have a healer in my team.

Right now my bench looks like this -
For PvE and offensive
left to right are Melia, Peters, Wilbur, Grimm, Balthazar

PvP defense follows -
Peters, Sumi, Hu Tao, Grimm, Balthazar

I’m opened to suggestions to which to use and where to position. I know Rigard would be in rear.

I’m also leveling up Wilbur to take Sumi’s place for defense.

Rigard makes more sense to me for your lineup. You already have a pulverizer, Grimm, and another defense debuffer, Wilbur. That said save your Tiburtus for leveling up later. They are both awesome.

Rigs maxed and he goes to the center of your defense for a good 6 months, at least.

Tibs is a solid hitter (I’ve got 2 maxed, love em), but he’s the same as Grimm with lower offense. A true 4* healer is absolutely mandatory for when you want to start working higher levels in Rare Quests, Seasonal events, and challenges.

Normally I would say it depends on your roster, but Cleric Rigard is a very good 4* Cleric and Tiburtus is the only Ramming Pulverizer hero that is a Ranger. So I would recommend leveling both to 4* 3.60, then Rigard to 4* 4.70 and eventually Tiburtus to 4* 4.70

Normally I say “It depends on your roster” but not this time.

If you have Rigard, I would level Rigard and Proteus to 4* 3.60, then Rigard to 4* 4.70 then Proteus to 4* 4.70 ( see notes on Purple 4* heroes ).

Many people have wanted a 5* Rigard for a long time. If you do not get rumored blue 5* Ariel, then 4*+19 Rigard is just as good.

If you do not have Rigard, I would level Proteus to 4* 3.60 then, if you have them Sabina 4* 3.60 or Tiburtus 4* 3.60 ( see notes ).

I am also a big fan of getting a good rainbow 4* 3.60 team before leveling any hero to 4* 4.1 ( see notes )

And if I had Cyprian I would add him to the end of the list as all attack grid Paladin Cyprian. But all defense grid Paladin Guardian Falcon would go first for emblems if I ever get either hero.

And if I ever get through all the above 4* purples- Sorcerer Cheshire Cat is rumored to be a 4* purple so Cat would be after Sabina for emblems but I would immediately take him to 4* 3.60 because OMG

So the above is my personal recommendation of purple hero order.

How to level your first 4* team

Level your first rainbow team from 4* tier 1 level 1 ( 4* 1.1 ) to 4* tier 3 level 60 ( 4* 3.60 ). Do not use 3* ascension items, yet.

Any 4* 3.60 hero is better than any 3* 3.50 heroes.

==Leveling your rainbow team to 4* 3.60==

4* 3.60 heroes are the most powerful in the game using only 1*/ 2* ascension items. 1* / 2* ascension items can be farmed on the world map along with recruits, food, iron, XP, ingredients, 1* / 2* troops and 1* / 2* heroes.

Two 4* 3.60 heroes take the same XP as one 4* 4.70. But the 4* 4.70 is not twice as powerful as each 4* 3.60 hero. While two 4* 3.60 heroes are more versatile, and with double color ( see below ) potentially more powerful.

If you level a 4* 3.60 hero to 4* 4.1 you use six 3* ascension items. If you buy them during special offers, this will cost $12+ USD. You can never get these 3* ascension items back.

Save your 3* ascension items, and the hero XP, until you know the game better and can select which heroes are good.

==Use only same color 1* / 2* heroes to level your 4* heroes==

Using matching colors doubles your chance of the hero’s special skill increasing, and gives you a bonus +20% hero XP.

Later you can experiment with off color/ random color leveling of heroes.

5* heros are worthless so save your money! 4* Heroes are almost as powerful and cheaper!

Reflect Damage ability

A lot of players think reflect damage is a defense buff.

Obakan & Cyprian are not defense heroes but attack heroes and I will explain how.

The stronger their opponents- raid, quest bosses, titans- the harder the enemy hits them and the higher their reflect damage.

Since defense stat is non- linear, an ally +10% defense buff is better than an enemy-10% attack debuff. This also means doubling defense has a higher impact than doubling attack. But for a reflect damage hero, lowering its defense stat ( many enemies do this, very common on Season 1 map) results in a substantial increase in incoming AND reflected damage.

Grimm- Most versatile Ramming Pulverizer and fits best on a Wu Kong Cascade Squad ( almost as if the Devs read the forum/ use deep learning/ use data mining when first assigning classes).

Grimm- Barbarian - decent fit versus titans and Bosses- loses some usefulness with mobs, War and raids. Ranger would be more powerful ( like Tiburtus ).

Yeah, I guess. But to move forward as fast as possible, you need to get as far as possible in events, seasonals, and challenges every time they pop up. To do that, a solid 4/70 healer is #1 priority. I was finishing all of those things really early, exclusively because I was lucky enough to have Sabina at 4/70 and some battle items. Gotta have that healer.

Looking at the stats Rigard is a high defense low attack healer. - so good for defense
Sabina and Tiburtus are high attack - so good for titan
