It’s important to remember that Seasonal Event Heroes have extremely low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Seasonal Event Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 27.8% chance of summoning Valeria.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 50 times out of 100, you’ll get Valeria by pull 21 (5,500 gems)
  • 96 times out of 100, you’ll get Valeria by pull 100 (26,000 gems)
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Valeria by pull 140 (36,400 gems)

Putting that in Perspective

  • 50 out of every 100 people won’t get Valeria by the 21st pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned 21 times, 500,000 of those players wouldn’t get Valeria
  • 4 out of every 100 people won’t get Valeria by the 100th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned 100 times, 40,000 of those players wouldn’t get Valeria
  • 1 out of every 100 people won’t get Valeria by the 140th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned 140 times, 10,000 of those players wouldn’t get Valeria

:star2: Epic Hero Tokens Can Be Used for Seasonal Summoning

The Seasonal Summons replaces the regular Epic Hero Summons.

Because of that, unlike Challenge Event Summons, the Summoning Portal for Seasonal Events allows using saved up Epic Hero Tokens that can otherwise normally only be used for Epic Hero Summons.

That makes Seasonal Events the only place you can currently use Epic Hero Tokens for a chance at non-Season 1 heroes.

Many people regard the Christmas heroes as superior to the Halloween heroes, and therefore prefer to save their Epic Hero Tokens for December. For more discussion of this, please see: What is the best Seasonal Summons?

You’ll also have the same chance at the HOTM as usual when using Epic Hero Tokens.

Because Return to Morlovia 2019 is expected to run from the end of October until the beginning of November, you should have an opportunity to Summon while either HOTM is available.

Last year I really wanted Valeria, but didn’t get any vampires.

This year, I still really want Valeria, but I really, really want Buddy — whom I tried for last year, and only got Rudolph.

So I’ve been saving EHT for quite a while now, and plan to still save them for Christmas, in hopes of getting a Buddy or two.

Unfortunately, that means skipping trying for Valeria for another year.

I assume RNG will rub that in my face by giving me Buddy early in my pulls, so I can regret having not used any EHT for Return to Morlovia. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Always a balance

I’ll make a few pulls at each since they are my first go around at these seasonal events
but


Then I am more or less returning to my limited pulls till S3 comes out. I am being VERY stingy with mats for now assuming S# will bring more power, new specials, and other exciting things i wont be able to resist.

The picture graphic shows 155% damage but the text statistics later on say 235% damage.

Which is it? And can fix to be same?

The initial damage is 155% (card) or 235% (special skill description)?
At 3.2% appearance rate that’s half the chance of getting a 4* Guardian

I first saw her in a raid about a month ago! Was ok cool! Wouldn’t actually mind one,but so over crowed with blue it probably be a year till I started levelling her! Maybe next year!

I have a maxed valeria, and just maxed my other one I pulled (I had 1 duplicate just chilling unleveled since last event) bc I realized they stack n charge at same time. Imagine having 3, that would get the DOT capped asap @ 580 over 5 turns. Shes pretty awesome.

I’m the opposite. I have Buddy, but not Rudolph. I intend to try for Rudolph this Christmas. I understand why you want Buddy, he really is one of the best 4*greens.

I’m not too crazy about Valeria, but she is the only 4* in the game I don’t have. For that reason alone, I want to summon her. I already have 2 copies of Kingston, so I am planning to wait until November to use my 23 EHTs.

I hope Valeria works out better than Vlad. Got him maxed but never use him in 3* tournaments/events.

I have 2 Buddys’ and just finished leveling the 2nd. Great for war with all the blue tanked teams, useful v blue titans and potential for fun double buddy defence in the right raid tourney

The Buddy/Evelyn combo is brutal. Buddy is great and very much so worth going for.

The only halloween hero am messing
I might wait till November to try my luck with few tokens, as i want to use my gems to try to get Zimi from AR
She is the only ice 4* am messing and i want to complete the collection

I have a maxed Valeria. She’s pretty cool and can turn the tables in wars featuring the field aid gimmick and in raid battles pitting you against a stubborn healer. I’ve found it tricky to max out her damage over time, so while it’s a fun characteristic of her special, it’s not as impactful as the healing

I have her and maxed her. She sucked before her buff, but is decent since getting it. She’s great in field aid wars or events with a healer too.
