Itā€™s important to remember that Season 4 Underwild Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Season 4 Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 3.3% chance of summoning Morel (Featured).

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 9 times out of 100, youā€™ll get Featured Morel by pull 30
  • 28 times out of 100, youā€™ll get Featured Morel by pull 100
  • 50 times out of 100, youā€™ll get Featured Morel by pull 300
  • 95 times out of 100, youā€™ll get Featured Morel by pull 898

Putting that in Perspective

Gems cost $99.99 US for 10,000. A 30x Summons costs $83.99 US.

Many thanks Guvnor for starting this . Just pulled her, looks an interesting character at fast speed, especially the bonus 30% for the first strike. Could have a great synergy with cobalt! Happy with her. Not the biggest hitter, but I think sheā€™ll be effective.

The most controversial S4 character as of now. Immediately when he (or she) was revealed, everyone just wanted to grill this poor hero. Heā€™s not even a Frigg clone, heā€™s a Finley clone, right down to the talent. Why this hero even exists is beyond me.

Morelā€™s released now. Do yā€™all expect him to be a new leaderboard nightmare to match Frigg and/or Odin? Is he even scarier? Maybe less frightening? I think heā€™s at the Frigg/Odin level

I just got her and Iā€™m curious if she is worth taking all the way or not. So definitely interested in what people think. Fast hit all with def down seems pretty tough. Just finished taking Russula to 3:70 and not have Morel. Thinking Morel May get bumped ahead.

I donā€™t see what is the fuss about. There are many heroes that do defense down to all on the same or even higher levelā€¦ Damage is not great eitherā€¦

Iā€™m inclined to judge Morel by comparing him to Frigg. Frigg does 100-244% damage and gives -8-44% defense. Frigg does 190% damage with 5 tiles and -37% defense with 9 tiles, so thereā€™s Morelā€™s ballpark idea. But then Morelā€™s got his passive, so he does 210% on his first shot. That rivals Friggā€™s 208% damage with 6 tiles.

Then thereā€™s also the stat based power creep. I donā€™t feel like lining that stuff up right now, but itā€™s there.

Then youā€™ve also got to decide which is worse, Frigg dodging your stuff as a rogue or Morel bypassing your stuff as a ranger. Admittedly, Iā€™d be more afraid of Friggā€™s rogue tricks if Iā€™m on the attacking teamā€¦

But then if you add them together? Defense down and then hit them again? Ouch

After typing all that stuff out loud, I think Morel may fall a bit behind Frigg in defensive performance. Not far, but still some. Iā€™d rather have Morel in offense, though, because I wouldnā€™t have to worry about spending green tiles and gathering green tiles at the same time.

I thought the same thing about Frigg when she came out. But now thereā€™s Frigg, she scares me, and Morel bears a striking resemblance. Thatā€™s whatā€™s got me on edge here

ā€¦Thatā€™s a good point. I donā€™t even like C. Tiburtus as much as the original. This makes me less nervous. :joy: But then the passive and the slightly faster speed, matched with some of the highest stats in the gameā€¦ That 210% on the first hitā€¦ Maybe I just gotta see how this plays out

Morel started his dmg at 220% in the first iteration of beta. He was very OP then.

It was decreased to 200%, then to 180%. At 180% he is still strong but on the edge of acceptable.

Morel+Frigg+Odin is still going to be gg defense, but at least I think you can play around that. There are fast attack debuffers/defense buffers that can help prepare for the hits.

Yes the uncleansable defense drop was what was gonna Morel completely broken, but thankfully that got fixed.

Regarding the Morel vs Frigg comparison, I think Iā€™d still rate Frigg higher on the threat scale, if only because the lone reflect green hero we have (Theobald from the circus event that just passed) is slow, whereas Mitsuko is average. So all things equal, youā€™re far more likely to beat Morel to the punch with Mitsuko than Frigg with Theobald. And of course as mentioned the rogue talent is annoying AF, because you just never know when youā€™ll be wasting a special (or two, or even three).
