Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Oh, of course the costume has the 20% mana boost. You know, the one where the original has it. Want your xnol to return back to his glory days, gotta pull for his costume

Xnolphod costume is a joke! They took away his 20% mana gain saying it was too powerful and now are bringing it back behind a paywall. **** that

Alright, top to bottom - here we go:

Aouda
Amazing way to make a sniper useless unless there is boosted health on the field! 200% damage to one is laughable

Morel
Actually… kind of seems relatively fair to dish out -44% defence to all? Although, lest we forget that they talked about making his original DD 30% in the “big balance update”

Octros
Lets move 20% from A to B and call it a day? In any case, it’s still 8 tiles to get the max damage output. Pure stat buff

Passepartout
My first ever 5* hero from Underwild - good times! Anyway, this to me is a straight up buff. The OG regen was insane, but the heal felt dissapointing. This actually feels like a much more balanced version, although, going up to 94% standard defence up feels very high!

Xnolphod
Time to bring out the pitchforks as we now see the 20% mana increase returning to the field! Though, I do think it was right that they chopped the healing to 20% but does this mean that we could potentially see Xnol return to the meta?

With their suped up costume bonuses compared to everybody else, it’s a possibility…

This finally happened. They finally resorted to this scummy tactic of nerfing heroes and then paywalling it

Omg I can’t believe how worthless this costume is. I just knew something was very odd about it
Just have her be an eiora and fluffy type of sniper, except instead of minions, it targets boosted health. how hard can that be?
Well at least her first hit will be 230% :joy:

I had to pull them both up on two tabs to be certain that it was really getting 250% direct damage knocked off, and because it’s not even max health reduction it doesn’t even have a “bolstered” effect on the boosted health!

The only situation I can see this being more beneficial in, is where say - C. Heimdall, or C. Gullinbursti, or C. Marie-Therese have only just boosted the health for the first tick, and then you slash it for 1200-1400 damage… but, they’re all slow heroes… make it make sense :joy:

This hero right now, is only very good at hunting Celidana (or overhealers who boost a low amount), who’s passive has a 50% chance of boosting health by 100hp when an enemy uses a special. Or Maybe misty who overheals a very small amount. But outside of overhealing, this hero is virtually worthless

It might be (a little bit) useful against Aramis because of the colour and Hathor

Otherwise not useful

Lmao at Xno’s 20% mana increase. What an insult to the players.

Lol, that’s a total slap in the face of every Xnol user that got impacted by the nerf. Wth…

Yeah, that’s total BS, shame on SG. What a joke!!

Exactly why we shouldn’t spend anymore. If they release Xnolphod like this, wth. Insult isn’t even a strong enough word.

Costume Xnolphod has the 20% mana but lock it behind a slot machine, after a nerf to the original. Yeah. Im not spending.

Well I guess this has dissauded me from breaking out the ol’ credit card for the Solstice summon. I’ve been ok with the ‘balance’ updates and powercreep. It’s the nature of the game.

I have disliked the bland uninspired costumes but can live with it.

The X-man’s boost returning in paywalled form is frankly, disgusting. They’d better boost the original. #pitchfork #herewegoagain #imtired

Not to mention, as you pointed out, the dropped ‘maximum defence down’ from the aforementioned balance update.

It’s just becoming more blatant. No courtesy or thought given to anyone but the top revenue bringers. (and not even their requests. How much money can they rinse?!)

Most are garbage. Minute changes from the original.

Reverting Xnolphod to what he was and then making people pay to summon the hero as he was before you nerfed him… disgusting.

Certainly he’s back in the game. And the slow heroes like Khufu. Milady of Winter will become an issue again

So not only uninspiring changes but essentially reverting Xnolphod to its unnerfed version. Everyone having him should automatically get costume for free.

Just a complete joke. These lazy clowns have completely lost the plot. Nerfing heroes then paywalling the original special so you have to pay twice for one hero. How much lower can these greedy clowns go smh

…somehow, seeing Xnolphod on this round makes me happy I got him before he became extra rare-ER just to have two of the exact same hero with minor adjustments. Which reminds me, I need to max him soon!
