This is akin to Atlantis Rises but is also quite different. In summary:

Special Monster Midgard Gnome Atlantis Seadragon

The Midgard Gnome is quite differnet to the Atlantis Seadragon in a number of ways:

  1. Limited to farming 20 per day; This limit accumulates to a maximum of 80 Gnomes (i.e. start on day 4 and you can still farm 80 gnomes). There is a counter showing how many have been farmed/ how many remain

  2. Drops Valhalla Coins OR Emblems OR Resource Bundles

With the addition of Valhalla Forever, there are now three featured heroes. In Beta, there were no change to the Portal Odds, however this is likely to change.

Much like the Season II Atlantis Summon Portal, the Season III Valhalla Summon Portal features a Bonus Ascension Material Chest, which contains a guaranteed Rare or Epic Ascension Material, and can also contain Rare and Epic Crafting Materials.

Also like Season II, the Bonus Chest fills with each 10 Summons, and there is a limit of 9 Chests per event.

Your progress towards the next chest also carries over to the next Valhalla Summon event if you still have chests in stock, just like with the Atlantis Summon.

The name of the monster is Orichalcum Seadragon, probably should be corrected to avoid misunderstandings.

So if I read that correctly, when the calendar changes to March, the new HOTM won’t be pulled from these summons? That seems like it would just be an automatic changeover when the calendar ticks over.

Note - March HotM will NOT be available during the Feb21 Valhalla Portal Window

So… Why would the March HOTM be available in the February portal? I’m completely lost on this information. Is there no HOTM available at all?

The hero of the Month for March starts dropping at exactly the moment that this event ends. If there is a day of overlap, you can get two different HotMs. In this case, it’s over before the month starts, as far as E&P is concerned.

Frankly, I’d take 3rd duplicate Uraeus before a 1st Malicna - she’s that bad.

I wonder if we get Lord Loki and Odin featured together - if so, that may be very tempting. Loki’s the last hero from Valhalla I want to be done with the portal and move on.

So what are your guesses on featured heroes?

I would go with someone from Heimdall, Freya, Ratatoskr, Sif and Tyr, because none of them were featured yet. But it will be probably something entirely different.

Not that it matters, because pull rate difference between featured and non-featured heroes is minimal …

She’s got a constant damage, plus one amazing effect and two ok ones. I like to get at least one copy of every HOTM for insurance no matter how bad they seem - like Zulag seemed utterly useless to me but with raid formations she became very interesting.

I feel she’s better than rumples who is totally random and Danza who has one total dud option. But this is off topic so I’ll stop there.

On topic, I’ve saved a big amount of pulls as an end of the month hedge against missing an HOTM. In January I did 64 saved pulls to finally get Bertilla, but unless Malcina was available at the end I’ll hold them for March. But with the new schedule it’s going to be S4 pulls I’ll have to use as a hedge now.

I’ll also be interested to see how the daily limit and max of gnomes will work in March event versus the 20/80 four day schedule with this one.

I’d add to that “Farming maps which your best team can do on Auto” since most of us have a busy scedule. And the event occupies large portions of Thursday and Friday.

IMO Midgard Gnomes are worth farming the normal way, because that way hardly even the 80 total number will be reached. Emblems to some players are more valuable than Valhalla coins anyway. The gnomes are probably not worth farming with Energy flasks though because of the cap.

Hear hear, on my main I’m doing the lava bomblets avatar mission and thankfully I can autofarm 25-1, but on my alts I’m doing the first two special stage missions and I have to keep an eye on them every 10th time or so it gets dicey and I have to step in. Perhaps I need to just use an extra healer on those autofarm teams

Agreed that emblems are valuable… BUT the emblem #s were very small in beta. Akin to what you’d get from an average (boardering sub par) monster chest. There are much better sources of emblems than famring for the gnomes imo.

Plus there was no guarantee you’d get emblems. Seemed more likely to get Resource bundles than anything else.

Just my advice tho :slight_smile:

Any idea which stage will be the most beneficial to repeat/auto-farm? (as most have completed the story mode, finding the better value stage is beneficial)
