Valhalla Forever

This is akin to Atlantis Rises but is also quite different. In summary:

The Midgard Gnome is quite differnet to the Atlantis Seadragon in a number of ways:

1. Limited to farming 20 per day; This limit accumulates to a maximum of 60 Gnomes (i.e. start on day 3 and you can still farm 60 gnomes). There is a notice showing how if more can be farmed.

2. Drops Valhalla Coins OR Emblems OR Resource Bundles

With the addition of Valhalla Forever, there are now three featured heroes. In Beta, there were no change to the Portal Odds, however this is likely to change.

Bonus Ascension Material Chest

Click for Details

Much like the Season II Atlantis Summon Portal, the Season III Valhalla Summon Portal features a Bonus Ascension Material Chest, which contains a guaranteed Rare or Epic Ascension Material, and can also contain Rare and Epic Crafting Materials.

Also like Season II, the Bonus Chest fills with each 10 Summons, and there is a limit of 9 Chests per event.

Your progress towards the next chest also carries over to the next Valhalla Summon event if you still have chests in stock, just like with the Atlantis Summon.

Unless they have increased the drop rate and removed certain items from dropping from the gnomes, I won’t be farming this “hard”. Last time I used gems + flasks and basically wasted them, it was sad to get such rubbish.

This time, I won’t be using gems or flasks I will only use whatever energy I have from regular waiting time.

Guvs Farming Advice

My personal advice is to spend Valhalla Forever:

1. farming avatar missions
2. progressing the story mode.

If you do have spare WE, target the stage which has “increased chances” for the item you desire. Find it by tapping on the item in your inventory and reading the tooltip.

Farming for Midgard Gnomes isn’t as efficient or as effective as farming for Atlantis Seadragons because:

1. there’s a limit of 20 per day (accumulative)
   And
2. they don’t only drop Valhalla Coins but can also drop Emblems or resource bundles instead.

There is a counter showing how many have been farmed/ how many remain

Are we missing where the counter is? I remember last time there was just a notice in the tooltip if there were still gnomes to be had, not a counter that gave a number.

I’m working on the Alfheim avatar missions, don’t think I’ll finish but I’ll make a good dent with the reduced WE to 6 for those levels. Maybe another month or two to finish those and the Asgard missions. I think when S4 drops I’ll focus on keeping up with those avatar missions as they appear so S3 will possibly backseat to Forever days.

Is it possible to get early informations about the offers? The last offers were great, but now it is a shorter version of Valhalla Forever than the last time and I believe, there are only 2 offers instead 4!

Most likely there’ll be 3 offers. Last time the third one was already different, but I hope they keep 1st, 3rd and 4th. Second one is almost universally considered a garbage, so if few people bought it it will be thrown away.

Oh and by the way, SGG, would it be so much of a problem for the event to start today instead of tomorrow to keep it closer to 4 days? I assume you did not raise the appearance rate of those trolls, didja? Scrooges.

Right now there are not. But remember when Valhalla ended at evening and the last Valhalla offer started the same day at morning? Same for challenge events in the past.

Darn, I really wished for featured Lord Loki.

Frigg isn’t bad as well obviously, but I don’t want to chase her - prefer fun over a defense monster. My defense is fine enough. Sif doesn’t fit my roster at all - I already have a lot of supporting yellows.

Saving most of my coins for the next month (or any following with Loki featured). Few single pulls maybe when I feel lucky (first of those gave me Kelile).

Starting with the most expensive offer is funny. I am ignoring this one, hoping the 250 Valhalla coins remains on the menu, as we won’t be getting Valhalla coins any other way it seems. Farming all morning on autoplay and I saw 1 goblin who gave me 3 ranger emblems. This is just ridiculous
