🧪 The Beta Beat (v32) – Ninja Tower Event; Ninja Tower Heroes & Troops, Updated Halloween Event & New Halloween Heroes -- Sharing the Big Picture on What's Going on in Beta

NOTE: Please do not, under any circumstances, share IMAGES OR VIDEOS from Beta in this or any public Forum thread. Violations can cause players to lose their Beta accounts, or threads to be closed down.

 What’s this all about?

Click Here for Details About This Thread's Intention & Format

Often players on the Forum wonder about what’s going on in Beta.

If you’re a regular reader of the Forum, then you’ll find that there’s actually abundant conversation about what’s going on in Beta at any given time.

And that’s actually allowed!

What’s restricted is images and videos — but discussion is ok:

The challenge is that information is often scattered around the Forum. I’ve created The Beta Beat to help centralize it for those who are interested.

The Beta Beat is a series of threads which are evolving as I get feedback on what’s helpful to players.

My main focus is giving some high-level guidance of what’s going on in current testing, so players outside of Beta can be better informed.

Like Beta itself, this thread is experimental and will evolve based on your feedback.

Information from Beta is frankly often mostly useless, so don’t get too attached.

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that heroes and features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release.

That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of hero skills to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to hero stats to be made, or for large chunks of new functionality to be completely changed.

Often Incomplete Information Circulates

Many of us have seen screenshots and other information shared on LINE, Discord, Facebook, and other groups — often without context or explanation.

These can lead to confusion and misunderstanding.

Often, early Beta information — the least reliable or useful — is circulated…and then updated information is missed.

I’m hoping centralizing some high-level information on the Forum may help to reduce this as well.

What’s Going on in Beta Right Now

IMPORTANT: I wouldn’t get too attached to any information from Beta — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of heroes or functionality to be removed, reworked, or radically changed beyond recognition.

Ninja Tower Event

This feature is returning to beta in V32 with a fair number of changes & updates.

While this feature has returned in the V32 Beta Testing Cycle, it is still not expected to be released until late 2020.

Ninja Tower Heroes & Summon Portal

Beta V32 has seen the introduction of a series of new heroes who are linked to the Ninja Tower.

These heroes will be available for summoning via the “Ninja Summon” portal which is linked to the appearance of the Ninja Tower Event.

New Ninja Troops

An additional set of Epic troops have been added to each colour.

  • Purple Ninja named to Bo Ninja
  • Yellow Ninja named to Nunchaku Ninja
  • Blue Ninja named to Wazikashi Wakizashi Ninja
  • Green Ninja named to Kusarigama Ninja
  • Red Ninja named to Sai Ninja

These troops (when maxed) have the below stat-distribution:

  • Attack = 30% 32%
  • Defence = 15% 17%
  • Healing = 20%
  • Mana Boost Bypass = 15%

They are (essentially) a redistributed version of the existing Mana Troops in the game. There is 1 additional attack/defence percentage with “a chance for bypass” in the place of the “mana boost” stat increase. The Mana & Healing Boost stats are the same.

Note: the new Ninja Troop follows an identical Stat progression to the normal mana troop (in terms of +x% for y level).

Availability / Summoning
These troops have been added to the Epic Troop Portal as part of the “10% for epic Troops” section.

The Ninja Troops can be summoned from the “Ninja Troop Summon” Portal which replaces the normal Troop Portal for the duration of the Ninja Event.

See this thread for more information: 🧪 Early Information on Ninja Hero Summon Portal & Ninja Troop Summon Portal [Part of The Beta Beat V32]

Tower Coin

The Ninja Tower Coin is a new token used for summoning in the Ninja Summon.

The tool tip reads:

Tower Coin

Used for a free summon at the Ninja Summon. You need 100 coins for one summon.

This Item can be received as a reward from the Ninja Tower

(For more information on the summons portal, see thread above)

It is not yet clear if these coins will be available in Wanted Chests or other loot drops, or even from a “special enemy” like in Challenge Events.

 QoL Improvements

QoL = Quality of Life

Cleanse vs. Dispell

In Beta V32 Build 4 there has been a QoL update to some wording in game.
Across the board, the wording is being updated to more clearly differentiate between dispelling buffs and status ailments:

  • Cleanse = removing dispellable Status AILMENTS from Allies
  • Dispel = removing dispellable BUFFS from all Enemies.

Basically this reflects the wording that most players have used for a long time but is now beicoming official

:left_speech_bubble: Feedback?

I’d love to hear thoughts on whether this information and format is useful, and how you’d like to see information presented in the future. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks!

Sure 30 + 15 is one higher than 26 +18

But…

1.3 × 1.15 = 1.495

While…

1.26 × 1.18 = 1.487

It is negligible… just pick which you prefer based on whether you want higher attack or defense… not the sum of the stat.

ninja troops are useless ■■■■■, just more income for SG
always money money money :poop: :moneybag:

Can’t wait for new Veluria nerfs, since the last ones apparently won’t have desired effect.

I would expect to see any new heroes for the Halloween event to be added in this beta.

I really don’t understand why you’re multiplying two different stat percentages…? but OK…

My point there was simply that they aren’t necessarily stronger than existing mana troops. Just different swing of the stats.

Technically Attack is valued more in-game than Defense, as seen on emblem paths (where Attack Node gives +15 but equivalent Defense Node +18). Practically, the effect is so marginal nobody except the most extreme Min-Maxers will bother.

That is my point. Just because it has more stats doesn’t necessarily mean stronger.

Actually, the correct way is multiplying not summing… it is a bit hard to understand but think of it like distance = speed × time… where attack is speed (how fast you reduce opponents’s HP) and defense is time (how long you can last against the opponent).

Sure…

or simply what i was doing which is:
Total stat modifier = attack % + defence %

:stuck_out_tongue:

I can make a better one:
Pre-buff Gobbler = ninja mana troop
Post-buff Gobbler (Total stat -17 but more balanced right?) = old mana troop

I would rather have a hero with 700 attack and 700 defense than 1200 attack and 200 defense… I know that is extreme… (though I must say in titan the 1200 attack look desireable as this new troop is).

Do we know yet if these ninja troops have the same level boosts for Mana? Meaning still 5% for levels 1-4, 7% for 5-10… 15% for 28-30.

Yes; they follow pretty well identical stat progression as the Normal mana troop does.

These troops need to be nerfed!!!

/first to say it, mark it down.

Now you will have 2/3 chance to pull mana generating troops instead of 1/2 which makes it easier get troops to stack with multiple vfast heroes and average costume heroes.

I may have missed, but new troops are available all the time or just during the 5 days of event?

This event is also montly and added to the calendar or more like valor like once every 2 month?

No way of knowing for sure. But they have been added to the NORMAL Troop Portal as part of the CURRENT 10% for an epic troop.

So it is likely that they will be available alllll the time.

No idea either… Won’t know until release notes for live game… and even then it may not be known it’s repetition timeline until 2nd occurance.

The expectation is monthly to slot into the only free weekend we have :stuck_out_tongue:

I hate to complain about thing that aren’t even released but… as far I understood, the rewards from NT are based in tiers ranking just like events instead of our personal climbing, right?

:thinking::nauseated_face::face_vomiting:

The heroes look good actually but 71% odd of getting s1 3* will keep me f2p.

Yeah, that tier things sucks.

Discussed & given more details on it’s own thread.

Thanks for keeping us simple folk up to date @Guvnor it’s always good to know what’s going on in beta.
