Or: How many summons are needed to get an Epic Challenge Event Hero?

It’s important to remember that Challenge Event Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Challenge Event Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 25.1% chance of summoning Cheshire Cat.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 50 times out of 100, you’ll get Cheshire Cat by pull 24 (6,400 gems)
  • 94 times out of 100, you’ll get Cheshire Cat by pull 100 (26,000 gems)
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Cheshire Cat by pull 160 (41,600 gems)

Putting that in Perspective

  • 50 out of every 100 people won’t get Cheshire Cat by the 24th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :two::four: times, 500,000 of those players wouldn’t get Cheshire Cat

  • 6 out of every 100 people won’t get Cheshire Cat by the 100th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :one::zero::zero: times, 60,000 of those players wouldn’t get Cheshire Cat

  • 1 out of every 100 people won’t get Cheshire Cat by the 160th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :one::six::zero: times, 10,000 of those players wouldn’t get Cheshire Cat

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

Cheshire Cat polls inserted

I’m so happy to pull him this Wonderland, especially when my only other darks are maxed Cyprian, unlevelled Ameonna and half leveled Grimble. Finally something fun and useful for yellow titans.

I have just realised, after wondering why my tile damage wasn’t as high as I’d thought, that the wording of Cheshire Cat means that it doesn’t actually stack with Kunchen.

It would be a lot more useful if it gave holy heroes -44 defence against dark, rather that as it is now.

Although mainly I’m irritated that I didn’t read it properly!

Yep, it’s a general defense down but only for holy heroes. I had the same problem as you interpreting it

Has anyone emblemed Cheshire Cat?
I don’t have Panther so considering to start embleming Cheshire Cat for titans primarily (once Costume Quintus is finally done).

For titans, nah - his tile damage will be midtier even with +20. The only reason to emblem him would be for PvP, where he does over 400 undispellable and unmitigateable poison damage on a fast timer, while also shuffling Telly to where the sun don’t shine.

Thanks for your quick reply @Eldente.

I won’t have to decide for a while since I’m taking my Costume Quintus to +20. Hopefully I can get an Almur soon.

I embled Cat just for titans (dont have Panther) and raised my score about 15k pre flag.

just pulled the Cat today
!

superior defense down to Tiburtus, but sadly not as good as Treevil’s
so I guess I will be leveling for completion, but Treevil will still be my Purple def down of choice on Titans

I got CC a few months ago and was so happy to level CC quickly. Around the time CC was at 4/50, I pulled Treevil. Haven’t used CC at all.

I just pulled my second Cheshire Cat today, along with 2 Treevils. I’m low on hero slots so I’m debating feeding away the second CC.

I prob only use a second on the Mythic Titan.

I don’t see the draw for this hero. I just pulled him the other day. Seeing some comments about Treevil being superior with 64% def down vs Cat’s. Would have been nice if this was EDD, rather than straight up defense down, which creates a lot more competition for him, especially since it only applies against yellow.

His other skills to rearrange heroes
yeah, sure it would be nice to rearrange those riposte heroes or a nasty tank, but I’d rather bring a strong dispeller. Those enemies will still have counterattack, so this doesn’t really help your AOE specials.

His undispellable poison damage does seem nice and so does his mana speed. I’m sure he’s nice against titans to keep that def down. Compare that with Treevil again and yes, treevil’s def down is stronger, but at very slow speed vs fast. Something to think about.

Still not making me feel the urge to level him. I think his def down is what’s hurting him. Should be EDD so it stacks or it should apply to more than just holy heroes. At fast speed, I guess that might make him a bit OP.

am I missing any sort of strategy that would make me not want to feed him to someone else?

I use him on titans (don’t have treevil, though). One huge plus for me is that the Cat is a Sorcerer and I’m drowning in Sorcerer emblems which made it easy to bring him to +20. This makes him sturdy enough for 14 star titans

I only use cat on titan and 4* tournament really
I have two treevil one lb one 1/1 fed others

It would depend on the level titan your facing and items you use
 In guvnors thread of

There is a video of player using treevil in titans
Sure there few resources used in that on a 14*
But can be done staying alive but resources always come to play .

Imo cat a fun hero good in a purple stack and titan

I think it’ll be a while before my roster depth justifies spending resources on such a niche hero. Kinda like Jott. I want to like him, but he’s slow. I hear he’s great for titans, but it’s hard to level a hero for JUST Red Titans or in the case of cat, JUST yellow titans.

I have Treevil 55+20, I’ll give him a few mana pots to compensate for his slowness and try to keep his defense up to take a few hits at least until he fires.
