I wonder what @Cerevan_the_Omni thinks of this buff to C-Yunan? :face_with_monocle:

Sand damage lasts too long. It needs to be shorter for the stronger DOT kick

I agree with you.

They extended the number of turns - previously it was 360/3 turns (to 600/5 turns). So it remains 120 sand damage/turn.

For me, the “highlight” of the buff is the increased number of turns for the mana gen (from 3 to 5 turns).

So, you’d actually want a 600 dot in 3 turns?

I view this from an offensive standpoint. 200 damage per turn from a slow hero so that the DOT is not ■■■■■■

He’s tanky enough. I dont have the costume but his original version holds very well as a tank. Dealing more dmg, even in more turns, is a buff nonetheless.

Well, he has the stats to keep up with modern heroes as well as supportive and offensive tools.
With the increased availability of dispells and cleanses at hand, heroes who excells most currently are direct dealers of anything or heroes who hide their buffs behind minions/fiends.

it is a great hero for anyone trying to build a more well rounder roster but not top hero for anyone to chase!

my two cents, thank you for givine me microphone

Does anyone know how high his DoT reaches when fully levelled and/or emblemed?

My C-Yunan has 645 DoT, however it’d be higher had I chosen more attack nodes (as you already know DoT also increases with attack nodes).

I think you can calculate it as follows:

600 * Actual attack power (with emblems, LB, troops etc) / Base attack power

This gives:

  • Maxed: Attack 659, DOT 600
  • Maxed + 20 emblems (attack path): Attack 753, DOT 686 (i.e. 600 * 753/659)
  • Maxed + 20 emblems + LB: Attack 803, DOT 731
  • Maxed + 20 emblems + LB + Level 30 Ninja Troop: Attack 1060, DOT 965

I’m not sure if the 20% defence team bonus is still around, but if so then on defence, attack could reach 1272 and the DOT could reach 1158.

@Kenzo Just an example, here is my C-Yunan +20 (emblemed defence path) with a mana level 29 troop.

815 damage over turns is pretty amazing, sadly they doesn’t seems to know their own game and have set it to 5 turns, which was more a nerf than a buff. Facepalm.

Gues they did not learn it from useless Azlar from s1 and his infinite lasting burn damage with 10 damage per turn that is just unnoticeable.

Nice team there, tho! Grats!!!

@SamMe That’s quite impressive, thanks for sharing!

@RebelForces I’m a bit confused, how is that a nerf? If the damage is same per turn, even if it’s over more turns it’s no worse because in the first 3 turns he’d still be doing the same amount of damage before the balance update (he just does extra damage over 2 additional turns)?

Making dot last longer always was a kind of a bad thing. We have more time to clean it. Maybe the damage per turn didn’t changed or changed only a little but it affects negatively the full potential of the dot. Specially on a slow hero.

Seems a correct idea esp, for a slow hero like Yunan.

This is one of the older slugs. He is despite of his buff for nuts. His direct damage is forgettable (weak attack stat), dot duration is too long for a slow one. Only useful for the senseless “very fast” events.

I would like to show where C-Yunan can work well. :slightly_smiling_face:

For the tournament which just finished (5* Bloody Battle, no red), I used my C-Yunan +20 on both offense and defence.

For me, he shined as my tank on defence. I think I was lucky to only get attacked twice on the first day and once on the final day. I was pleased to have an A defence grade everyday. :+1:

This was my tournament defence. Everyone except C-Yunan is fast mana. All are highly emblemed with good troops.

Edited to add: I found two players with a C-Yunan tank who finished in the top 100. :+1:

He shot to the top of my projects. If the family bonus was better I woukd have tried pulling for another sand empire hero but alas. He fits well in my roster!

@SamMe can you post the stats??
