Or: How many summons are needed to get an Epic Challenge Event Hero?

It’s important to remember that Challenge Event Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Challenge Event Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 56% chance of summoning Vodnik.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 81 times out of 100, you’ll get Vodnik by pull 20 (5,200 gems)
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get Vodnik by pull 37 (9,900 gems)
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Vodnik by pull 56 (14,800 gems)

Putting that in Perspective

  • 19 out of every 100 people won’t get Vodnik by the 20th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :two::zero: times, 190,000 of those players wouldn’t get Vodnik

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get Vodnik by the 37th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :three::seven: times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get Vodnik

  • 1 out of every 100 people won’t get Vodnik by the 56th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned :five::six: times, 10,000 of those players wouldn’t get Vodnik

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

They don’t receive any buffs from the caster or aliments to the target. It just deals only the % damage to the target.

Yep. Vodnik is just a sniper version of Captain Kestrel.

He’s pretty cool to use in vfast 3* tournament hits hard as mana is usually up more on the oppersite team.
Also used in wonderland hawkmoon valen vodnik worked cool.

Anyone using him in 2024??

I LB’ed and emblemmed him and he did OK. But, I just stopped using him a while ago. That condition on his special attack made him a liability. There are too many other good 3* blues that do more, such as: Joukahainen, Toon Valen, Jarif, Yao.
