Or: How many summons are needed to get a Featured Atlantis Hero?

Itā€™s important to remember that Atlantis Featured Heroes have extremely low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Featured Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 3.2% chance of summoning a particular Featured Hero.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 28 times out of 100, youā€™ll get a specific Featured Hero by pull 100
  • 95 times out of 100, youā€™ll get a specific Featured Hero by pull 920
  • 99 times out of 100, youā€™ll get a specific Featured Hero by pull 1410

Putting that in Perspective

  • 72 out of every 100 people wonā€™t get a specific Featured Hero by the 100th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 100 times, 720,000 of those players wouldnā€™t get the specific Featured Hero

  • 5 out of every 100 people wonā€™t get the specific Featured Hero by the 920th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 920 times, 50,000 of those players wouldnā€™t get the specific Featured Hero

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If youā€™ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

Hello Community!

For POSEIDON, what is the recommended Talent Grid path?

Hereā€™s a picture of my top heroes if that helps.

Thanks everybody!

For Poseidon I like Attack>Health>Defense.

Here is how I have my Poseidon planned:

Iā€™m up to 14 currently. Feel free to use my talent calculator if you want to play around for yourself:

Sorry if itā€™s slow, Iā€™m only on the free Heroku plan

Iā€™m going attack > def > HP with my Poseidon. Snipers gotta snipe.

i agree with this; hp adds points to your war def

The OP now contains the family bonus related balance updates in May.

Does anyone know if this also protects against mindless attack from Alrikes cubes?

Yeah, pretty sure it does

How does Poseidonā€™s specific ailment protection measure up against general status ailment protection from Vanda/C Vanda/Emilio/Grazul?
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!

Obviously, the general status ailment is preferable, as it protects against everything Poseidonā€™s does (except maybe direct mana reduction) and then some. Poseidonā€™s costume is an upgrade because it does the general ailment protection, iirc. Poseidon applies his protection fast, but Vanda and Grazul apply it faster, so thatā€™s not really a factor either.

That said, mana ailments are among the nastiest in the game, imo, and none is more devastating than Alfrikeā€™s, so Poseidon is a great counter to her in both color and speed. My mono yellow team is my strongest, so I even sometimes run him against the likes of Onatel and the yellow guy from Kalevala, if there is a sufficiently devastating purple on the team that I want to counter. It really takes the sting out of those specials, if you can time him right. Since Poseidonā€™s protection is divided into two separate buffs, heā€™s pretty good in buff booster tournaments.

As my roster has grown, Poseidon has gone from every day player to more spot duty, but when you need that mana protection, heā€™s golden.
