It’s important to remember that Challenge Event Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Challenge Event Hero.
On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 17.5% chance of summoning Marcel.
But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.
Some useful insights:
69 times out of 100, you’ll get Marcel by pull 20 (5,200 gems)
95 times out of 100, you’ll get Marcel by pull 156 (46,800 gems)

Yes most definitely. I used to run Buddy on titans for his defense down but those minions really slow things down, plus 3 turns just isn’t enough, and Buddy’s tile damage is, for lack of a better phrase, pathetic.
I got two Marcel. I plan to level both of them. In my opinion, he is an offensive version of Buddy.
Without considering his defense down and situational attack up, the fully emblemed Marcel (attack, health, defense path) will offer 747 attack, 680 defense, 1483 health, which is getting close to Killhare status (741, 756, 1382). He is the best offensive green 4* star hero!!!
By using two of them, you can also enjoy his family bonus.
I have Hansel maxed and fully emblemed. He is great and I used him a lot. I agree He probably has slight edge over Marcel in War raids. But Marcel is definitely more useful for event and weekly tournament. None of them is really good for Titian or on defense. So I would say that it is a tie. IMO, weekly tournament and event is more rewarding in terms of loots and emblems. I would like to have powerful hero for those events. For war, the single hero has much less impact on the overall performance.
Marcel is no doubt a winner and slightly better than the pulverizer trio (though the defense downs sticks for only half the turns). The situational bonus +50% attack puts him over the top IMO. I’d still crown Hansel as overall raid/war winner for 4* greens however. His special at fast mana speed is one of the best.
Strongly disagree. Unless you have Frigg, Marcel is the closest thing to a green ramming pulverizer and almost a must for titans. Yes there is Buddy but his attack stat is just plain pathetic, and the minions also slow you down during titan hits so he’s actually not the best to drag to titans if you have better defense down alternatives.
For event and tournament, mana speed is not that critical. I agree Hansel is better suited for raid/war. But there are so many heroes that you can use for war.
If you need a mana controller then Hansel can’t be replaced; if you need a green defense dropper to enhance the power of your green stack you take Marcel. Marcel+Almur/Evelyn/Fogg will make snipers one shot just about everything, but Hansel will stop dangerous heroes from wrecking your whole team. They do very different things and have very different roles and I don’t think you can say one is “better” than the other.
