Or: How many summons are needed to get an Epic Challenge Event Hero?

It’s important to remember that Challenge Event Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Challenge Event Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 17.5% chance of summoning Eichelborg.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 69 times out of 100, you’ll get Eichelborg by pull 20 (5,200 gems)
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get Eichelborg by pull 156 (46,800 gems)
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Eichelborg by pull 240 (62,400 gems)

Putting that in Perspective

  • 31 out of every 100 people won’t get Eichelborg by the 20th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :two::zero: times, 309,196 of those players wouldn’t get Eichelborg
  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get Eichelborg by the 156th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :one::five::zero: times, 56,280 of those players wouldn’t get Eichelborg
  • 1 out of every 100 people won’t get Eichelborg by the 240th pull
  • If 1 Million players each summoned :two::four::zero: times, 10,013 of those players wouldn’t get Eichelborg

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

He will replace Wilbur on titan attack since he is fast mana regen and will not trigger Baba Yaga’s increase attack stack.

He also have little higher attack than Wilbur too.

Got him yesterday, but my card is called Eichbelborg, rather than Eichelborg. Was there a name change?

Huh. I think it’s just a typo on Guvnor’s part, as my brain doesn’t want to acknowledge that first b either.

And there we go! I was struggling to find a use for the guy. Now he has one. Cheers :beers:

I think he is also good for 4* tournament too as fast lower def since highest base defense enemy is usually tank.

My card says Eichbelborg (not Eichelborg)… i like him… fast def down hero. And just like the others, can give multiple opponents def down (needs to have exact def rating) like on wave hoardes. Combo-ing him with falcon and boldtusk.

Yep.

Plus if you’re looking to take out a tank, a single target defence drop is more attractive to pair up with snipers than spirit link…

And then of course you start looking at who you might put together in this theoretical attack team.

Given speeds and the potential negative side effect of spirit link to snipers, I think it’s fair to say I’d rather team Scarlett, Lance or Kelile up with Eichbelborg whereas Sumle, Colen or Rokkamush with Wilbur.

I like options

Am I the only one to find his special animation really fun ? It seems to come from a cartoon, specially its sound.
