Or: How many Summons are needed to get this Hero?

It’s important to remember that Heroes have low Summoning odds. No amount of Summoning will guarantee a Hero.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 25.1% chance of summoning Guardian Falcon.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 44 times out of 100, you’ll get Guardian Falcon by pull 20
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get Guardian Falcon by pull 104
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get Guardian Falcon by pull 160

Putting that in Perspective

  • 56 out of every 100 people won’t get Falcon by the 20th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 20 times, 560,000 of those players wouldn’t get Guardian Falcon

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get Guardian Falcon by the 104th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 104 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get Guardian Falcon

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these two threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

I went attack path here. Why? My card. he was beefy enough wanted some heavier tiles

Also went attack route but stopped at Node 12

Stats & Pathway for reference:

I emphasized Falcon’s existing sturdiness, which also aligns with his Paladin Class.

You can see in mine vs. @PeachyKeen’s that there’s apparently not a ton of difference in the end.

Took me 12 pulls but got falcon. Gave him all my 11 feeders/dupes and will be giving him emblems from Sonya as I already have Ariel maxed.

That’s really interesting. Almost a false sense of choice.

Partly it’s because I stopped at +18. I could have added 30 more points of Defense at +20.

But yes, people have noted elsewhere that if you look at the Talent Grids, no matter how you prioritize, there’s a fair amount of balance in the Nodes you pick up along the way.

So the opposite extremes aren’t really that extreme.

I just pulled Guardian Falcon, like many others.

It’s funny: in looking at his card, he’s not particularly overwhelming. However, I’ve played against him many times & he’s a fantastic hero, that I’ve wanted for quite some time. It’s just like Guardian Jackal.

What am I missing? I have a few other reds in line to level before GF, but will wait & gladly level him 1st if I can figure out “why”. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks, in advance.

Green Titans.

Also Offense in a red stack.

And Challenge Events.

But especially Titans.

Pair him with Wilbur or Gormek and Boldtusk against any green threats and see them melting down due to stacked def down and att up…

Got a 2nd my 1st is +11 went attack on him!
Does good worth the mats if anyone gets him!
Will I level a second in the future I prob will!

Got him the other day, along with 2 Jackals and a Panther. I only have mats to max one 4* so he’s getting all the reds. I also have over 530 paladin emblems ready for him to sink his claws into. Not decided on atk/def yet.

Edit: just after posting I picked up the 4th gem offer with challenge tokens and pulled another Falcon and Jackel. Guess now I can level them both ways.

Thank you!
Against a green titan or stack, I usually take:
Marjana
BT
Wilbur
Lancelot
And the last depends on what I’m doing. If it’s a titan, I take WU.

@zephyr1 @Olmor & anyone with advice.

This may not belong in this thread. If it’s in the wrong place, I apologize in advance.

I have had Azlar for a couple of months, unleveled. (I’ve been working on the last 25 levels of Marjana & getting Wilbur some emblems)

So, my question, is he a great, good, ok, or not worth it, hero when it comes to all of the resources needed to level him? I have a very difficult time knowing which heroes are “worth it”, and which ones aren’t. I scour the forum for info/advice/opinions & read for hours, but it’s impossible to wade through it all.

Same w/Scarlet. I went with leveling Kalilie instead & that was apparently the wrong choice. Since I have Marjana @ 4/64 & then Kal is leveled & emblemed, should I rush on Scarlett, Azlar, Guardian Falcon, or even Gormak who is also on the waiting list. :joy::joy: Such a mess!!

Any help appreciated. :woman_facepalming::woman_shrugging:

Falcon should be at the front of the list. He is amazing with Wilbur. For your green titan team I would pull Lancelot and put Falcon in his place.

As for Azlar, I would not rush to max him.

I’d prioritize as:

  1. Falcon – elemental defense debuff is huge for Titans and any red stack

  2. Scarlett – Fast attack debuff is highly useful for Quests (she’s how I beat Ursena on Hard), and with Emblems she hits like a truck (mine is +18, all attack); she’s in my standard red stack for Raids and Titans, and often makes it into War Offense

  3. Azlar – I like him in red mono, and for Rush Attack Raid Tournaments, but he doesn’t get much use elsewhere; given the costs of leveling 5* and his more limited usefulness, he’s definitely lower priority

  4. Gormek…maybe — green tanks in War aren’t common (could change), and Wilbur covers defense debuffing for green Titans, so my 2 Gormeks basically never, ever go anywhere
