Or: How many summons are needed to get a HOTM?

Special thanks to @Garanwyn & @zephyr1 for assistance on summoning odds and proofreading for this section.

It’s important to remember that HOTM have very low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a HOTM.

On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 12.3% chance of summoning the HOTM.

But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.

Some useful insights:

  • 73 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 100
  • 95 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 229
  • 99 times out of 100, you’ll get a HOTM by pull 352

Putting that in Perspective

  • 27 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 100th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 100 times, 270,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

  • 5 out of every 100 people won’t get the HOTM by the 229th pull

  • If 1 Million players each summoned 229 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get the HOTM

More Insights & Reading

I highly recommend reading these three threads for more information and context on summoning odds:

If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.

He has Malicna’s elemental link? That’s unexpected

If Frosth has different element link as Malicna, that is enexpected.

He was more commenting on that I hadn’t updated it from “Dark allies” to “ice allies”

I just pull him with epic coins, I think he’s good with others minions summoners and his design is very cool!

But I have a question, why he’s not animated like others hotm?

I think he’ll get better later on in game when there’ll be even more choice of minion heroes.
Atm, I see a lovely synergy with QoH or puss (which ofc are rare)

Does he resist all red attacks? So tiles and specials?
Nog that i would go with red against blue but still intresting.
Overall not really overwhelming. My skadi Will love him

Does the attack boost for the minions stack with Freya’s?

4 posts were merged into an existing topic: Frosth’s skill is the same at level 1 & level 8

I think Frosth is designed to make minion on Krampus get 1000+ health.

Happy to have one but not sure to level him now…

No, he resist burning damage a-la Kingston, not damage from red heroes and tiles.

For me he is a must have.

Telly’s minion : 138 HP --》179 HP --》232 HP

Interesting

I do not have Krampus, Bera or Freya to test him deeply.

Cant wait to see him with Noor/Freya.

Only downside is he’s going to push off the bulky minions when he fires again.

Noor with defense troop lv 16 after one and two Frosth’s special

The same with QoH :

And Bera :

Looks like the released version is actually 13% HP and 15% attack, so slightly worse than the last round of beta.

Anyone else notice that his special doesnt get stronger when leveling it up and hes the 1st after a few years to not be animated when in close up? He didnt get much love or thought.

Don’t forget that he casts his Minion first and then buffs him at the same special. It’s actually 13% X 1,3 = 17% and 15% X 1,3 = 19,5%
