Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

New Difficulty Mode

Previous versions of Seasonal Events had Normal and Advanced Modes — this new version of Springvale also has an Easy Mode as well.

Stages

Like previous versions of Springvale, there are 20 Stages per Difficulty Mode.

With the addition of Easy, that now means there are a total of 60 Stages across the three Difficulty Modes.

Storyline

The initial introduction dialogue appears to be the same as last year’s.

I will attempt to compare the later dialogue screens when I complete the Event in Beta later.

Updated Rewards & Flag Requirements

Easy

The rewards for Easy are similar to last year’s rewards for Normal.

Why so expensive (flag cost) for easy mode? They couldn’t start at 1 flag and scale up?

since i already got my telluria i’m not worried about the start date anymore but… do we have any idea when it runs and if it runs for a longer time than before with the addition of easy?

@zephyr1 please add #beta-beat to this thread.

@zephyr1, your second paragraph has been pasted in / left incorrectly. It misstates the purpose of the thread.

Have tentative dates (preferably start AND end, for HOTM summoning purposes) been given yet? It must be long-ish, given the extra difficulty tier and high World Energy demands.

Completing the normal mode in the “old” Springvale required 123 WE. Here an easy mode costs only 74 WE. It is not so much.

Thanks! I didn’t have the previous format at my finger tips. I guess we’ll see once Normal and Advanced get added to the OP. If it scales up like challenge events, a reasonable guess may be to just add one for each stage when you bump up a difficulty mode.

That would mean 94 for Normal and 114 for Advanced. A total of 282. Again, without looking it up, if the previous format was the same (plus one), then it was 266.

Regardless, I’m mostly interested in the dates. The WE costs interest me only insofar as they presumably affect the duration of the event. I’m assuming I’ll leverage my EHT’s and want to know what my HOTM options are.

In the old Springvale, each level in an advanced mode costs 7WE more than the same level in normal mode, so total cost of advanced mode was 263 WE (the advanced model starts with 10WE while normal ends with 9WE).

I would suspect the same pattern here, so normal mode starts with 6 WE (+3) and require in total 134 WE, while advanced model starts from 9WE (+6) and costs 194 WE in total, but we will see it soon.

Fixed, thanks! :heart_decoration:

No, here’s my speculation:

Okay, so last year Easter was 4/21 and the event was 15-28.

This year Easter is 4/12, so the equivalent event dates could be 6-19. Even if the event started earlier or went longer I’m now willing to account for a high likelihood that the entirety of the event is in April, in terms of my summoning plan. My guess is that EHT’s can’t be used for Telluria or the undoubtedly-to-be-changed Clarissa.

I would like this proposal with difficulty mode in the tasks frequently because when the player reaches a higher level of his team these daily tasks lose interest in the game

After seeing that, I was thinking the same thing. It could be moving to a longer stretch to fall in line with Morlovia and Christmas Seasonal Event timeframes. Wondering now if Sand Empire will do the same.

If it starts at the tail end of March you could in the same way Morlovia covered both Kingston and Neith and Christmas covered Grimble and glazed Vela for a couple of days in January.

You are right, but barring an announcement of the date I’ll (and we will all) have to have made a decision on whether or not to push for Telluria before then.

@zephyr1, will you add flags requirements, recommended TP and rewards for normal and advanced modes today?

does this have the eggs on the board that blow up! Or something like that?

I’ve added the flags, recommended TP and rewards for Normal today.

Note that the reward for Stage 10 of easy was mistakenly the Jack O’Hare avatar – that’s been indicated by staff to be a mistake, and will be corrected to be Squire Wabbit avatar on Easy stage 10 instead.

wait, do you have to finish easy before finishing normal etc? Does it have to be sequential now? Or is there another reason they are revealed sequentially like this?
