defense-up Defense Up At the start of each battle, this Hero gets +20% defense for 6 turns.
In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.
:hourglass: Ability: Resist Defense Ailments
This character has innate resistance against status ailments that affect defense. Applies also to status ailments that affect elemental defense.
:dizzy: Special Skill: Good Dose of Garlic
  • Special Skill has a different effect when charged with 100% / 200% / 300% mana:

  • 1x Mana Charge:
    • Recovers 25% health for the caster and nearby allies.
    • The caster and nearby allies get +24% mana generation for 2 turns.
  • 2x Mana Charge:
    • Recovers 35% health for the caster and nearby allies.
    • Increases the mana of the caster and nearby allies by 10%.
  • 3x Mana Charge:
    • Recovers 55% health for the caster and nearby allies.
    • Increases the mana of the caster and nearby allies by 30%.
    • The caster and nearby allies get +40% mana generation for 4 turns.

Bonus for 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • 40% / 60% / 80% chance to cast -30% mana generation to all enemies for 2 turns when this hero casts their Special Skill.

I have this guy maxed already for the mana gain. Was happy to get him, wanted him more than anyone else in there.

I despise heal 3. Of course this is the only Styx hero I pull. What a joke.

haha same here but i don’t mind him, he can come in useful somewhere… i hope lol

also don’t like the heal-3 part, but at least he will be good for depth… maybe combined with Brynhild or C-Kash on the other side…

Everyone’s mentioning they hate healing only to nearby allies, I do as well. But what I love is the 10%/30% mana gain. There are no 4*s like this guy. If you got him, you did good imho.

Yeah I agree about that mana, so I can digest up that limited healing. Just put full healer as one flank and damager as second, ie. Ludwig setup, if one fears healing won’t be enough. I bet Gullinbursti and Anabelle can be nasty as flanks. :smiley:

I think i agree.

At this early stage im thinking ill probably use him with grimble. Grimble charges him up with 10 minions. After that he will have everyone on mana overdrive. Also in case of emergency he can give grimble a 5 or 10 charge heal

I summoned this one and the yellow reviver from Styx. The family bonus is what intrigues me, the ability to reflect defense ailments back is powerful.

I am not enamored of this hero because of the heal three but he is good enough to use, the mana bonus will be very helpful as will the heal, putting the right heroes as flanks and it can be a very good support hero with nasty tile damage for a 4*.

Almost forgetting the ailment duration is cut by two so he’ll be resilient. Annoying AF at tank in tournaments (not rush!!).

Just to clarify it’s not reflect defense ailments as your heroes still get it (it just casts it on the enemies as well). I agree it is powerful but I recently learnt that enemies get it for 2 turns less (they get it for the same amount of turns as your Styx hero) so most of the time they only have it for 1 turn as a lot of DD is usually 3 turns.

Oh, I was unaware that it was like that. So this means I should be less concerned when facing them and carry on as before (more or less).

I saw my heroes with the ailments in the tower and when a +20 5* at full health is one shot, it feels rough. Didn’t check duration.

So the family bonus went from “Wow, OP” to “Hmmm, kinda helpful”

I saw a video where someone mentione Brontes and Ahmose had good synergy. I tried it out and decided to nearly max him. He looks great, cheers!

Hi Ugk26, how are you? Long time, no see. I pulled Charron from this portal and am over the :crescent_moon: - only 20 pulls! And pulled this one before on the same deal and am wondering whether i should max him too. Like others, I’m mostly interested in the mana. Now that yòu had him for a while, what’s your take on him? Thanks!
