Stripping emblems from c-Rigard for Mist

Do you think it would be a wise decision? I’ve just landed Mist and her specials are so good, I hope to put her to good use in upcoming Avalon event. And she needs those emblems as she’s squishy.
On the other hand I know Rigard, especially costumed, is considered here to be one of the best purple heroes in the game but I got him quite late, having already leveled many healers in other colours (Bryn, c-Mel, Telly, Lady Woolerton, Boldtusk) so he never appealed to me much.
But still, Avalon is my main priority here. Mist specials would be a good counter to Guin but Mist is yellow and Rigard is dark. Decisions decisions. My only other emblemed cleric is Hansel.

This alone would answer your question. If you want a Guin counter, definitely a hero of the strong color against the Avalon Queen and Rigard fills you that spot as the cleric talent may resist Guin’s mana reduction. Mist will only deal weak damage against a fellow holy hero.

Rigard with Costume is in my opinion the best healer in the game. I have two at +18. Mist is very nice, but cannot compete with Rigard’s utility

Think about this one carefully as i have both and when Mist is in her element and doing that special attack goodness, she is awesome. Tibbs is only ever impressively average imo!

Except the question was Mist v Rigard, as Tibs doesn’t share the same class

Oh god help me; too much medication!

Rigard (C) is superior to Mist…

Generally I agree but it’s c-Rigard so he won’t have a mana shield.

Yeah. That is why I specifically said Rigard in that post and not costumed Rigard. Sometimes, the instant heal is better than heal over time, even if the latter has attack buff to all.

So you recommend to use vanilla Rigard for Avalon? I’m a bit stressed as this is the only challenge event I’ve never finished in all difficulties yet.

If you have difficulty finishing it previously, then regular Rigard’s instant heal MAY be of a big help to you instead of his costume version where he heals over time. Maybe you have other heroes already leveled or maxed that can also be aiding you finishing the stages since almost 5 months have passed since the previous Avalon. Who knows? Only you can answer that question. As I have mentioned, an instant healing may have certain advantages over the HoT and attack buff. I really cannot tailor fit my experience to you since we have varying degrees of heroes and troops leveled, battle items to bring and playstyle. Wish you the best in the coming Avalon.

Thanks  Last time LotL’s mana-cutting minions and MlF’s DoT was simply too much for me but it was 5 months ago, I think I’m ready now.

I would not strip Costume Rigard. For me, top 3 4* hero, along with Proteus and Wilbur.

I think you are overthinking this issue too much.

Moving emblems may, or may not, help.

Instead I would advise backing up and starting a topic “Advice for completing Knights Challenge event with my current roster”.

I did that too  Please help me with Avalon strategy I have bad flashbacks from losing even after bombing everyone in the 14th epic stage and paying for continuation.

rigard+18 stats with costume bonus bit higher than grazul max level. And instant heal more usefull than HOT for me.

Don’t reset Rigard for Mist. Both amazing 4 stars deserving emblems, so no need to replace one with the other. I did reset Rigard once for Ariel, she’s now +10 and staying there. All new emblems are going to Rigard again who is at +8 now, while Mist is waiting at +2, for me to be done with Rigard.

My Mist never seems ot survive too long to fire her special… she is +18 and so is Rigard. I rarely use Mist, but she is amazing, but I would never strip from Rigard for another hero… just never

Resetting is expensive, so in general I’d urge you to avoid it as much as possible. Especially with a hero who you will definitely want to have those emblems at some point - Rigard certainly qualifies. He should get a lot of play against yellow titans, all wars, and quite possibly any raid against a Telluria defense.

I know this probably isn’t the answer, or at least the reasoning you’re looking for. I have Mist, but I don’t have Rigard. So from an offensive position, I can say that when I run into an opponent that has either or both of them, I do not gear my team to attack Mist (unless she’s in tank), but I have configured teams to take out Rigard-C even if he’s flank or wing.

My team can withstand shots from Mist, but when Rigard-C fires his special it’s an absolute pain to try to get out in front of it. I have lost more than one raid because he managed to fire before I could wipe him out, and he replenishes the rest of his team to the point that I can’t hit them fast enough.

Based on this, I would say keep your emblems on Rigard and I’ll hope I don’t see you in the raids (or move them to Mist and I’ll hope I do :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:).
