Avoiding Overspending & Heartache
Or: How many summons are needed to get a Valhalla Rare Hero?
It’s important to remember that Season 3 Valhalla Heroes have EXTREMELY low summoning odds. No amount of summoning will guarantee a Season 3 Hero.
On average, in a 10-pull, you have a 13.7% chance of summoning Shadereave.
But that statistic can lead our minds astray in exactly how our odds play out as we continue summoning.
Some useful insights:
36 times out of 100, you’ll get Shadereave by pull 30
59 times out of 100, you’ll get Shadereave by pull 60
95 times out of 100, you’ll get Shadereave by pull 203
99 times out of 100, you’ll get Shadereave by pull 314
Putting that in Perspective
64 out of every 100 people won’t get Shadereave by the 30th pull
If 1 Million players each summoned 30 times, 640,000 of those players wouldn’t get Shadereave
5 out of every 100 people won’t get Shadereave by the 203rd pull
If 1 Million players each summoned 203 times, 50,000 of those players wouldn’t get Shadereave
More Insights & Reading
I highly recommend reading these threads for more information and context on summoning odds:
If you’ve read them a million times before, you may consider reading them again before deciding on your budget for summoning. A little time spent deciding on how much money you want to risk on summoning goes a long way to avoiding disappointment, frustration, and regret later.
He is going to be interesting tank option on all kind of 4 star tourneys, and also for those who are still relying on their 4 star teams in bulding regular or war defense. Flank him with fast hitters and let the hell loose.
As Marie Therese and Muggy owner, I have to say, I was never too excited about the zombie revival. Would need to play him couple times to see how his undead army is doing.
Really wish he had far better tile damage, could have potentially replaced Ares in my titan team but with that low of tile, I’m not sure he makes the cut … please SG, give us some red tile damage heroes that are good for titans … falcon, wilbur, santa, ares and now this guy… they aren’t cutting it.
Plenty of 4 stars have solid tile damage amounts in the 700s and red titan teams need tile help, not more low tile garb. Ares would be premium if he healed all and gave all attack up and crit, as he stands now, he’s not what I would consider premium.
This one was the best one from my ten pull this morning. I think he could be an interesting additon to my teams and I can’t wait to get him levelled up. I love heroes that come back for a second shot at being a nuisance to the other team… well, unless I am up against them.
Do I understand this correctly? As I read this, if one hero receives eternal loyalty (as a result of dying after shadereave fires), then 1. they get resurrected and 2. immediately, all other team members get increased attack, crit, Mana? Wow, if so.
Ok thanks. I can see that logic, but it wasn’t clear to me from the text. And as you said, even so - fast Mana. Who at SG comes up with these names anyway? I call him Gutbuster lol.
