attack-up Attack Up At the start of each battle, this Hero gets +20% attack for 6 turns.
In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.
:dizzy: Special Skill: Strength of the Behemoth
  • Deals 220% damage to all enemies.
  • All allies get +120% normal attack for 4 turns. This effect can be active in addition to effects that alter attack in general. Normal attacks can have a total maximum of +170% increased power while this effect is active.
  • All allies get +46% defense for 4 turns.

Upon first inspection, i’m not hugely blown away by this particular hero… I will say that is a very intereting combination of stat boosters on the special, plus a reasonable chunk of AoE damage. If I got him, I would probably focus on his survivability and run shield path instead of sword, i’m not taking him to be a hitter, that’s just a bonus in my view!

Though, it really goes to show the level of creep when you look at poor Tarlak who’s sitting behind in the same portal, increasing basic attack by only +100% and adding in a small facet of regen over 4 turns, at (surpirse surprise) average speed!

Nice to have reason to pull again in the Atlantis portal (beyond the featured HotM additions), but again, still not going to be a portal for me to chase in I don’t think :wolf:

220% damage to all with a team wide def buff of +46% at average speed. He’s more than a titan hero.

If you really want Oceanus and don’t get the hero, don’t be too disappointed. A maxed (lb+20) combo of Wilbur and Zim will give you the def buff, a modest attack buff, and the additional def debuff if you don’t have Wilbur’s costume will make your heroes hit almost as hard as they would under Oceanus anyway, if you have strong hitting reds like Cmarj or one of the new crowd.

For 4* players the combo of BT-Wilbs(c/non-c)-Junaid will do significant damage.

Oceanus is mostly an exercise in revenue raising on a tired portal by releasing a hero that at first glance looks essential. Although useful for Green Mythic that’s for sure.

Not to mention that the tile damage boost isn’t conditional like Miki’s is.

It really is kind of ridiculous, I keep seeing this person claim that top-notch heroes are useless or irrelevant.

At this point, one has to wonder if their roster is something like 100 Xnolphods, 100 Octros, 100 Falines, 100 El Naddahas, 100 c Alasies and all the rest gets fed away.

I’m currently using the Wilbur + cWilbur combo, which works fine on the 12* we tend to fight, but I would like a 5* titan hero. I figure I’ll at least get a 4* costume or two as a consolation when I inevitably don’t get Oceanus.

Don’t get me wrong I’d be happy if I did get Oceanus. Probably should’ve mentioned I have Miki so if you don’t have a :muscle: atk 5* yet then definitely worth hoping/going for.

His worth is real only for cream of the crop challenge chasers.
Basically costume Wilbur can do the same to almost same effeciency and its a 4*.
Would much rather get Tetys than Oceanus.

Oceanus worth is also in using him in raids , which is a rarity for titan heroes.
You can make a defense with Motega (dmg increase), Oceanus (normal attack buff), Tethys (attack buff), Louhi (def down) and Gregorion (critical hit), so each slash attack will do 600 dmg :stuck_out_tongue:

Just realized this character’s att is 873. So despite only 220% skill damage, should hurt around the same as Octros and more consistent. One does att down and one adds def up.

But in general, should always aim for faster heroes. Knowing the odds of chasing a hero is the same across most portals. Avg speed damage heroes tend to get replaced fairly quickly.

Great hero for titans tho. But if you already have Octros and/or fast red on defense, no need to go after him.

For offense, if you have 3 matches, potential pairings are already available without this new hero. More ROI to use your precious $ on a hero that your roster is missing.

As was inevitable, I didn’t get him. Did get a Kadilen for Soul Exchange and Gadeirus’ costume. I guess Gefjon is going to get those rings she’s been eyeing. Might get one more pull from coins, but I’m not holding my breath.

I did 45 pulls and also didn’t get him, but did get Kadilen. I guess we’re in the same boat! I did however get Wilbur costume, but I’m still a bit disappointed since I don’t have Miki. Will hopefully have a couple more attempts from coins.

neat thing about Oceanus is that he fills 2 titan slots very easily. Tile damage, with hitting over 1k in attack, and an attack booster, all wrapped in one

Made a few pulls and ended with Costume Poseidon. I will take that as a win and shut up. But This card looks is so tempting. Maybe next time.
