Can someone tell me which are the best stages and provinces to gsin the best amount of experience to level up?
Season 1, 23-11 gives you the most XP per flag.

23/11 is the best but its draining to farm there, so I’d suggest season 1 12/9 it is very good on exp per flag, strong on recruits average of 10+ and pretty solid on crafting mats and 3* farmables
So best of all worlds

Try:
S1 8/7 for 3 flags
S1 12/9 for 4 flags
S1 17/1 for 5 flags
S1 19/9 for 6 flags

I am currently level 12, and at season 1 province 12. My goal is to get to level 18, what should I do?
Outdated post is outdated. You should just keep playing at your point… the farming days are well ahead for you. Train up a team of 3 or 4 stars before attempting to train up a 5 star hero. Work on building your base, especially the training camps up to level 11 (very cheap feeders). Play the areas of season 1 up until you get access to season 2 and then focus on that. Come back to season 1 only when you get to areas of 2 that are too difficult for your team. You’ll be well into season 3 before you can finish season 1.
