Pulled him trying to get Gefjon or Heimdall (of course I did, like how I pulled Exeera x 3 over the featured heroes I wanted lol). I checked his OG board but there hasn’t been comments in almost a year, and I also know he got buffed to 320%/640% (from 300%/600%).
I know the 640% is super situational and requires a minion wall (e.g. Seshat with 3 minions), but has he any relevance now that there is a bit of a minion meta going on with all the new Christmas heroes? I’m contemplating keeping Miki at 3/70, and maybe putting him ahead of Skadi for ascension (right now my only blue sniper is Mr. Pengi).
Anyway let me know what you think, and if he still has a good use on offense?
Mine at 4.80 is gathering dust for ages now. Prefered using Magni and Misandra over him at first. Then I got Alice then Gaillard. Fenrir is my “wish I never wasted scopes on this fella” thing.
I personally think he’s great, I always use mine on offence in wars with Magni in a 3/2 setup and that 1-2 punch will take out a hero of your choice at high speed, which can be very helpful… having said that, depends on your roster… would I give him scopes over Milena, Morel, cobalt etc?… absolutely not, but I wouldn’t hesitate to max him again if I had a surplus of scopes and no better blue hero.
Interesting lol. I read about 200+ posts on his topic about how relevant and amazing he is (even after people had been using/testing him), so seems like maybe he was at some stage? But now it’s definitely possible he’s not with all the new heroes released…
Thanks for your input! I actually thought he might pair decently with my Milena or Bobo as often they bring most of the defense to half HP early in the game and then Fenrir could act as a finisher (at VF speed after his first kill).
Because of that I ascended him and was immediately disappointed.
When he charges fast, enemies are usually above threshold with their HP, which means he will hit for ~300% like a joke. When the enemy falls below 50% hp, usually any sniper can finish the job with their 450%ish hit - doesn’t require 640% from Fenrir. He only beats normal sniper when there are specific scenarios involving minions in play, which may or may not happen when you attack minion team.
Meanwhile, other snipers have far better perks which are universally useful for their teams. Fenrir lacks one.
I rediscovered him for tower events where he can bite the bosses significantly, but because of lack of emblems on him I stopped using him there.
I use him in a mono stack of C Kiril - Skadi - Glenda and Bobo.
In almost every raid he kills 1 or more ennemies.
His 640% is not situational.
He can even kill a taunter hero if his life is below 50%.
How come his fighter class doesn’t work well with him? I always thought that class was good for all heroes lol. Well my alternatives right now are C. Thorne, Skadi and Miki but the more I use Miki at 3/70 on titans the more I feel like he doesn’t need scopes. Skadi also seems quite situational which is why I’ve hesitated with her!
I am sorry. I didn’t phrase it well enough. There are too many heroes better than Fenrir in the fighter class and the limitation in emblems may be to the disadvantage of him when making a decision who to level and emblem.
My Fenrir is at 4/80. I don’t use him so often maybe because I have now better options : Master Lepus +20 LB, Magni +15, Alice+5 and few fighter emblems.
I use him on tower events.
The Niflheim realm (-5% accuracy) is not the best.
3 alliance mates have him at +20 so I think he is still relevant.
Thanks for sharing your experience, oh yes taunt heroes with their increased defense can be a pain especially when regular snipers fail to take them out
