My 2017-Sep account does not use Barracks anymore ( see below )

But My teeny account has not unlocked guaranteed rare recruit training ( RT12 ) to hoard food, and does not have enough resources to use food other ways, so food keeps piling up

Barracks, and Lv2+ troops, are a way to burn food

Troops

In my opinion, Epic troop tokens from loot drops ( summon 3* Lv01 / 4* Lv01 troops ) are more important than the Barracks building ( leveling troops to Lv02+ )

Since 2* / 3* / 4* Lv01 troops already give you lots of good variety if you have 5x each type of troop ( looking at you 4* Lv01 crit/ ninja/ mana troops )

Unlike heroes, you can have infinite 2* / 3* / 4* Lv01 troops

Food

Since SGG has dramatically increased uses for food, I stopped leveling any troops

Advanced color stacking

For color stacking, the type of troop can be more important than its level ( see notes )

Adding Mana bonus 2* troops would benefit all heroes with costumes and classes.

Attack +10 Defense +10 Mana +15

General troop power

In general, a 3* lvl 3 troop is better than a maxed 2* lvl 15 troop and a 4* lvl 1 troops is better than a 3* lvl 9 troop

RNG stat troops

Crit troops can be tricky when color stacking since it involves RNG.

Later SGG added Barrack as a way to increase spend depth
