Have you gained any legendary troop tokens in loot? It takes 100 tokens for a legendary troop pull yet, since an initial gift of 100 tokens, I don’t personally seem to have gained more via gameplay.
If anyone has or gets a legendary troop token, could you please provide information on sources of legendary troop tokens as a parallel to information that is provided on sources of items (including epic troop tokens) as accessed in locations including the inventory.
Information on sources and potentials for acquiring legendary troop tokens could be useful.
As currently FtP, I’m mostly interested in any appearance of legendary troop tokens in loot.
I don’t see that it’s been discussed, but it could clearly best to delay conversion of an epic troop to a legendary for as long as possible. If you already have a legendary then, if you manage to pull one, there would be a one percent chance of getting a dupe and a one in fifty chance of getting a legendary that served the same classes as the hero you had already acquired.
Players can certainly be advised to delay conversion of a level 26+ troop until sufficient feeders have been amassed to level the legendary to an equivalent power as the 4* troop had. I’m wondering if there might be reason to delay conversion further if there may be access to the legendary troop portal and any potential gaining legendary troop tokens in loot.
There will be a Treasure Quest to obtain LTT that has been tested during the v66 beta cycle but unfortunately, it hasn’t made it live yet. Let’s hope SGG can iron out the last details and release it with v67 next month.
The ingame shop has some of the poorest and most outdated offers available, and arguably, those gems are better spent on pulls or speed ups. The only ones that may have any value is the gems for emblem offers perhaps? Though, MV spews out emblems often enough.
Other people are right though, that you cannot currently obtan LTT through gameplay, but, they are available for F2P players - albeit in highly limited fashion as an ocassional “Free Gift” from their WebStore, and of course, the big yellow banner at the top of the forum page saying “Claim Gift”.
Claim each gift, every day for 7 days, and get the “special gift” on day 7, and this week, it happens to be 50 LTT They’ve offered this before, which brings us to 1 free pull (I know, so generous /s )
As Elioty mentioned, there is a quest in the works, that we all are hoping is coming sooner rather than later!

I don’t think that random pulls of legendaries are a good use of gems unless you are PtW. It’s 2600 gems for a 30% chance for a random legendary (and a 0.6% chance for specific support for a specific colour and class) - but, if pulls would end up being a good option, taking them sooner rather than later might be best.
Yes currently Few options to grind for these tokens.
If you are okay to save up more tokens before trying your luck for the classes that you need, wait for Treasure Quest to be released into live game.
I collect those free aether crystals patiently plus those from paid POG till I have enough for 180 before I do 2-10 pulls. Takes me 2 POG cycles at least, assuming I clear enough reward tiers.
after seven days of daily rewards (from the in game link that appears beneath the link to the summons portal) there was a final reward of 50 Legendary Troop Tokens.
It appears that some LTTs can be gained for free, which means that there may be a low level reasoning to delay conversion of level 26 4 *s when practical.
They’ve offered this before, which brings us to 1 free pull (I know, so generous /s
